Pssst! Let me let you in on a little secret: you don’t need a Park ticket to get the best Dole Whip at Walt Disney World! Swirls on the Water is one of my favorite places to snag that delicious Pineapple soft serve! Its waterfront location at Disney Springs makes it the perfect place to take a break and indulge in an iconic treat.
One of the things I love most about Swirls on the Water is how they’re willing to take risks when it comes to flavor combinations! You’ll find traditional Pineapple flavored Dole Whip here for sure, but there’s so much more to love than that! This walk-up location opened last spring, and it has kept us on our toes ever since.
The newest flavor combo to join the ever-changing lineup here is a doozy. Cherry-Pistachio Dole Whip nachos! Two of my favorite Dole Whip flavors combined? Be still my heart. The Dole Whip nachos are one of the most popular items on the menu at Swirls on the Water because you’ll rarely have the same experience twice. Changing with the seasons is part of what makes this item such a “must-have.” The other part of its appeal? Waffle cone chips! Hello, perfect snack.
If you’ve ever had spumoni (chocolate, cherry, and pistachio gelato), then you know why I’m excited. I m was offered this Italian-American treat at a restaurant once and have been searching for it ever since to no avail. It’s hard to find good spumoni where I live. This…comes close. Except they don’t stop there.
The cherry and pistachio swirled Dole Whip is served atop a bed of Waffle cone chips and sprinkled with cherry-flavored popcorn, roasted pistachios, a maraschino cherry, and whipped cream. You can’t see me, but I’m giving a Chef’s kiss of appreciation. Pro-tip- ask for a drizzle of chocolate sauce on top. Not much, just enough to get a taste of chocolate alongside, and you won’t be disappointed.
As with most any new Disney snack, this new treat is taking social media by storm. Over on Instagram, Disney for Foodies recently shared a video of the unique flavor, which you can check out here! Many have said they don’t prefer the popcorn with it, which is a fair criticism. Popcorn and ice cream don’t exactly seem like a match made in heaven. The salty crunch does add something, we think, but If the popcorn is a no-go for you, you can easily request for it to be left off.
