No One’s Allowed Inside Cinderella Castle’s Suite at Disney World. But We Found an Exception.

Of all the rules at Disney World, the one with which most fans are undeniably familiar (and the one we dislike the most) is this one: No one’s allowed inside the Cinderella Castle Suite. But we found an exception to that rule.

The Walt Disney World Resort is full of Disney Easter eggs, hidden Mickeys, and hidden nods to Disney’s film and parks history, but there’s perhaps no place more shrouded in mystery, lore, and wonder than the magical luxury suite on the fourth floor inside Cinderella Castle.

Per Good Morning America, everyone can see Cinderella Castle, but very, very few will ever see the princess’s suite on the fourth floor of the magnificent structure, which accepts no booking requests ever. The lucky few who have stayed in the suite were invited by Disney Parks to do so.

“It’s the most exclusive address here at Walt Disney World,” Cinderella Castle Suite concierge Sean Marsich said. “It’s something that no amount of money can buy. It’s a very, very special experience.”

Cinderella’s bedchamber sleeps as many as four Guests and is adorned with pumpkin-themed murals, breathtaking mosaics, and 17th-century furnishings. The powder room (bathroom) is an experience all on its own and features twinkling “stars” against the night sky overhead.

Inside the suite at Cinderella Castle, the magic never ends, as the clock never strikes midnight. In fact, it’s always 11:59 p.m. for Guests invited to stay the evening at the castle.

It’s not part of any tour at Disney World, Guests cannot reserve it for the evening for any amount of money, and Guests can’t even get a momentary glimpse inside the suite during their visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth. Such edicts sound unbearably unmagical, but earlier this month, one Guest and her family discovered firsthand just how magical Cinderella Castle’s exclusive suite actually is.

In early May, Disney World and Make-A-Wish came together to bring about Disney’s 150,000th wish. Such a milestone granted wish would have to be special–really, really special. And so it was that Disney and Make-A-Wish granted a wish of the tallest order from 16-year-old Mikayla from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, who began fighting cancer when she was only 13. Mikayla’s wish was to spend the night inside the famed Cinderella Castle suite.

“We know that wishes have the transformative power to renew hope, uplift spirits, and unite families,” said Leslie Motter, Make-A-Wish President and CEO. “When you pair that with Disney stories, characters, and experiences, lives are forever changed thanks to the unmatched joy that’s delivered when it’s needed most.”

Per Disney Parks Blog, the granting of wishes began early that day.

Mikayla and her family were first surprised with being Grand Marshals during the Festival of Fantasy Parade at Magic Kingdom Park, but they didn’t just roll down Main Street, U.S.A. in the usual vehicle – they were treated to their very own coach.

Guests enjoying the parade may have also noticed a shiny new license plate affixed to the coach. With the limited-edition, 50th Anniversary celebration specialty plate design going away soon, we couldn’t think of a better way to reveal the fresh new design featuring Cinderella Castle.

After enjoying the parade and seeing some of our most iconic Disney princesses and heroines, we shared an extra surprise with Mikayla – something unique to her that we would only offer on a very special occasion like this one. To mark this historic milestone, Mikayla and her family were given the exclusive opportunity to enjoy an overnight stay in the famous Cinderella Castle Suite! As many Disney fans know, a stay in the suite is not typical, even for Make-A-Wish families, but we just had to make sure our 150,000th wish was, well, pretty “suite.”

“We are so thrilled that Mikayla is able to have this opportunity to celebrate the journey that she’s been on,” said Mikayla’s mom. “You never anticipate they [your children] are going to experience a life-threatening situation, but it’s been amazing to see how much good can come from something bad. We get to create these wonderful new memories together and not focus on the ones that maybe weren’t so pretty.”
