There are so many wonderful things to enjoy during a Walt Disney World Resort vacation, from the amazing hotels to the fun attractions, character meet-and-greets, and much more. And one of the real highlights for a lot of people is dining at some truly amazing spots and enjoying a delicious meal. Disney World has nearly 400 places where guests can grab a bite to eat, ranging from snack spots to gorgeous sit-down restaurants, and encompassing nearly every budget.

Disney Springs and EPCOT are the places in Walt Disney World that are really known for their great food. Disney Springs has nearly 70 food locations to enjoy, and a number of restaurants are even owned and operated by celebrity chefs. Guests can enjoy places like Chicken Guy!, eet by Maneet Chauhan, Frontera Cocina by Rick Bayliss, and Jaleo by José Andres.
EPCOT, of course, is THE Disney foodie theme park. Each of the eleven pavilions around the World Showcase have sit-down and quick-service locations. Guests can travel around the world by dining in places like France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Norway, Japan, Mexico, and Canada. In addition, there are some great restaurants in the World Nature, World Celebration, and World Discovery neighborhoods.

Unfortunately, the Magic Kingdom is at the opposite end of the spectrum and is largely considered the weakest theme park when it comes to dining options. Of course, there are some iconic treats you can get there, like the DOLE Whip, Cheeseburger Spring Rolls, and Nutella and Fruit Waffles. However, most of the sit-down and quick-service spots are considered skippable.
One Disney fan ignited quite the debate about just how sub-par the food is at the Magic Kingdom.
X (formerly Twitter) user Disney Clips Guy recently asked Disney fans to choose between dining at the Liberty Tree Tavern in Liberty Square or at Tony’s Town Square, located on Main Street, U.S.A. Liberty Tree Tavern offers guests an all-you-care-to-enjoy Thanksgiving feast, complete with roast turkey, mashed potatoes, cornbread stuffing, house-made mac and cheese, and toffee cake for dessert.
Tony’s Town Square is themed after the classic Disney animated film Lady and the Tramp (1955) and offers classic Italian dishes. Guests can dine on spaghetti and meatballs, shrimp scampi, braised beef short rib, chicken parmigiana, cannolis, gelato, and more.

If Disney Clips Guy was looking for an overwhelming majority, he was probably disappointed. If anything, many commenters agreed that they would not choose either restaurant. Instead, they would prefer to leave the Magic Kingdom and dine elsewhere.
I refuse to eat at magic kingdom when Epcot is just down the street.

Those who did decide to choose between Liberty Tree and Tony’s Town Square were relatively split on where they would dine. A fair number of commenters said that Liberty Tree was the solid choice, while Tony’s was not an enjoyable experience.
Really? Between these 2? Liberty Tree is a top notch dinner and Tony’s needs to be torn down.

For years, Tony’s Town Square has had the reputation of being the worst restaurant in the Magic Kingdom. However, a lot of people pointed out that the menu has improved, as has the quality of the food. So, they not only would pick Tony’s Town Square, but they would enjoy dining there at any time.
Tony’s. I don’t get why it’s reviled at all. We’ve eaten there a few times & all 6 of us enjoyed it. Liberty tree is just okay and too expensive for what I eat there. My last lunch at LTT was gross actually. The pot roast that had been delicious on previous trips was inedible

Of course, there were those who would dine at the Magic Kingdom but wouldn’t pick either of those spots. Instead, they said that they would rather eat at places like Columbia Harbour House, a quick-service spot in Liberty Square, or Jungle Skipper Canteen, a sit-down location in Adventureland.
Of course, we always encourage guests to follow their taste buds! If a classic Thanksgiving meal sounds great to you, then be sure to make a reservation at Liberty Tree Tavern. But if you are craving some classic Italian, then head on over to Tony’s Town Square.
