Mad Tea Party, more colloquially known as ‘the teacups,’ is one of Walt Disney World Resort’s most iconic attractions. Inspired by the 1955 film Alice In Wonderland (based on Lewis Carroll’s stories), this attraction takes Guests and invites them to a seat at the Mad Hatter’s unpredictable table.

Whether Guests want to spin wildly or enjoy a gentle turning, these teacup ride vehicles can do it all. The Mad Tea Party is a popular choice among Guests of all ages, and it’s easily a fan favorite.

However, it seems that the Very Merry UnBirthday Party may be canceled for now.

It’s important to note that Magic Kingdom’s Mad Tea Party opened in 1971, making it one of the Disney Park’s opening day attractions. After over 50 years of steady operation, typical wear and tear can occur, leading to slight mishaps such as this one.
