For decades, Johnny Depp was one of the most in-demand actors in Hollywood. He starred in a number of notable films, including Edward Scissorhands (1990), Ed Wood (1994), Sleepy Hollow (1999), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005), and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007).
Of course, Disney fans know him as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, and Harry Potter fans know him as Gellert Grindelwald in the Fantastic Beasts franchise.

At the end of 2018, Depp’s thriving career came crashing down around him when he was accused of abuse by his ex-wife, Amber Heard. Heard published an OpEd in The Washington Post, where she claimed to be a victim of physical, emotional, verbal, and sexual abuse. While she did not name Depp, she said it happened during the time she was married to him.
Four years later, the exes faced off in a Virginia courtroom, each suing the other for defamation. Depp was the first to file a $50 million defamation lawsuit against Heard. Heard then countersued for a whopping $100 million.

After six weeks of testimony, during which Mr. Depp and Ms. Heard accused each other of severe mistreatment, a jury decided that they had defamed each other. However, Ms. Heard was deemed to be more at fault. Depp was originally awarded more than $15 million, while Heard was only awarded $2 million.
It has been more than two years since the courtroom face-off, but it seems like Depp is finally moving on romantically with a new woman in his life.

According to multiple reports, Depp, 61, is dating Russian model Yulia Vlasova, who is just 28 years old. They have apparently been getting close for years.
The Daily Mail was the first to report on the Pirates star’s new girlfriend.
Insiders close to Depp confirmed the relationship is ‘casual’ and that the pair have been seeing each other ‘here and there’ over the past two years.
Most recently the two were seen together last Thursday when they were snapped canoodling and looking cozy while traveling out of London Heliport, DailyMail.com photos showed.
And while Vlasova has not confirmed the nature of their relationship, she has hinted at the romance on Instagram posts, some of which have been deleted.
Earlier this year the model shared a photo of two resting their hands on each other’s leg in response to an Instagram Q&A with her followers who asked about her ‘favorite actor.’
‘JD. He is a man who is incredibly talented and inspiring,’ she replied.

This is not the first time that Depp has been reported as being in a new relationship, but this is the first one that seems to be confirmed and semi-serious. During his defamation trial, rumors swirled that Mr. Depp was dating his attorney, Camille Vasquez. However, those claims were denied.
In addition to fostering his new relationship, Mr. Depp is also focusing on his music with his band, Hollywood Vampires. He is also doing more work behind the camera. He recently starred as King Louis XV in Jeanne Du Barry (2024), which saw a small US release in May. Depp is not, however, looking at jumping back into the deep end of the acting pool.

Amber Heard, on the other hand, has moved thousands of miles away from Hollywood. She is currently living in Spain with her 3-year-old daughter, Oonagh. She also reportedly does not go by Amber Heard anymore.
Marriage rumors recently swirled when the Russian beautician and model shared a picture of a ring emoji, but insiders were adamant that Depp and Vlasova are NOT engaged.
