Have you been to the movies lately? If you have, you’ve probably noticed that inconsiderate behavior is on the rise.
Texting, scrolling on social media, goofing around, and even taking pictures with the flash on, it’s no secret that these behaviors are the bane of any movie-goer’s existence.
Unfortunately, it seems like many audience members have forgotten movie theater etiquette, so the cast of the upcoming Little Mermaid (2023) film have taken to reminding Disney fans what to do when visiting the theaters.
This live action remake of the classic that kicked off the Disney Renaissance is highly anticipated, and Disney fans can’t wait to see the work of singer Halle Bailey as Princess Ariel.
Audiences can also expect the work of Daveed Diggs, Lin Manuel Miranda, and Alan Menken, a combination that has us thrilled for the live action remake’s soundtrack.
But with a soundtrack containing a song as catchy and beloved as Alan Menken and Howard Ashman’s “Part of Your World,” some Disney fans are worried about unwelcome singing in the movie theaters.
Luckily Halle Bailey (playing the beloved Disney Princess) and Melissa McCarthy (playing the evil Sea Witch, Ursula) are warning audiences in advance:
The upcoming Little Mermaid film will make its debut splash in theaters in May, but tickets have already gone on sale. So if you’d like to relive the classic movie that kicked off the Disney Renaissance with a modern twist, be sure to make purchases early!
