Nearly 100 years ago, Walt Disney packed up his life and moved to Hollywood with just a suitcase and a dream. There, he created the Walt Disney Company, with the hopes of bringing the magic of animation to families around the world. Well, Walt succeeded in that dream, and The Walt Disney Company is now one of the most successful movie-making companies in history, from animated classics like Sleeping Beauty and The Sword in the Stone to recent hits like Frozen and Encanto.
In addition to creating movies that stay with us, Disney has created some of the most beautiful and catchy movie music to date. From moving numbers like “Colors of the Wind” from Pocahontas and “Beauty and the Beast” to songs we can’t get enough of like “Let It Go” from Frozen and “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” from Encanto, the Disney hits just don’t stop coming.
While a lot of us get our music from digital providers like Apple Music or Spotify, more and more people are going back to one of the most classic ways to listen to hit music — vinyl records. For the past several D23 Expos, Disney has given Guests a chance to buy vinyl albums of some of their favorite Disney soundtracks, and now, you’ll have a whole new way to buy them!
Disney Music Emporium took to Twitter to share that it has launched a virtual web3 experience, where you can head into the virtual emporium and purchase your favorite music!

Here is more on the virtual experience from Yahoo News:
Disney collaborated with its Accelerator participant Obsess, an e-commerce platform known for creating interactive virtual storefronts, to release a new web3 experience for its Disney Music Emporium online store. The 3D 360 virtual experience lets fans discover soundtracks and songs from popular Disney films and TV shows by clicking on various vinyl records and CDs throughout the virtual space.
The web3 experience launched this week to give Disney fans access to a virtual storefront with individual displays that highlight various soundtracks from Disney movies and shows like “Encanto,” “Wandavision,” “Turning Red,” “Tomorrowland,” “Hocus Pocus,” “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,” “Star Wars,” “The Lion King Musical” and more. Users can click throughout the site to learn about specific titles, listen to music and add CDs or records to their online cart.
This new virtual music emporium is just one of the first ways that Disney is celebrating its milestone 100th anniversary. On January 27, 100 years of Disney magic will begin being celebrated at Disneyland Resort. A new fireworks show — Wondrous Journey — and a new World of Color show — World of Color: One — will premiere at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure.
Disney has not shared how long its 100th Anniversary celebration will last, but Disney Parks around the world will get in on the celebration.
