It seems hard to believe, but the Halloween season has already kicked off at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. It’s only August, but the jack o’lanterns are out, the bats are in the belfry, and the happy haunts are ready to make things spooky. The spookiest time of the year is here, and no one knows how to celebrate that better than Disney!
As part of the celebration, Disneyland and Disney World will hold numerous special events through the end of October. At Walt Disney World, guests can purchase tickets to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, enjoy limited-time food and drinks, enjoy a special Halloween-themed meal at Hollywood and Vine in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and so much more.

Of course, Disneyland doesn’t want to be left out of the action! This year, guests can head over to Disney California Adventure to enjoy a new Hocus Pocus-themed treat.
Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop will be offering a delightfully delectable sundae called I Put a Spell On You. This limited-time sundae features mint chocolate chip ice cream, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, purple sprinkles, and a chocolate waffle witch hat. It will only be available from August 23 through October 31.

The I Put a Spell on You Sundae is not the only mouthwatering specialty item that guests visiting Disneyland can dine on this Halloween. Limited-time offerings will also be available throughout Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure, the Downtown Disney District, and Disneyland’s three resort hotels.
There will be everything from pumpkin cheesecake to candy apples, specialty cocktails, apple Mickey-shaped beignets, and more. Guests who attend Oogie Boogie Bash will also be able to purchase a reservation for a dessert party that will give them priority seating at the Frightfully Fun Parade.
Another great thing about visiting Disneyland Resort during Halloween is that you don’t need a special ticket to enjoy the Halloween Screams fireworks. The incredible nighttime spectacular happens on select nights (weather permitting) and can be watched by anyone in Disneyland Park. You can even see the fireworks from the esplanade between Disneyland and DCA!
Guests can also head over to New Orleans Square, where they can ride Haunted Mansion Holiday. The regular Haunted Mansion is taken over by Jack Skellington and his friends from Halloweentown. Guests will be able to see what happens when two holidays collide. It is important to note that Haunted Mansion Holiday is currently utilizing a virtual queue as crews create a brand-new queue.
