‘Lizzie McGuire’ Star Announces Pregnancy!
For three years, viewers tuned into The Disney Channel to watch the popular show, Lizzie McGuire. Lizzie McGuire starred Hilary Duff as Lizzie, your average teenage girl dealing with high school, friendships, relationships, and all the ups and downs that come with it. Always by Lizzie’s side were her friends Gordo (Adam Lamberg) and Miranda (Lalaine), and Lizzie’s sassy animated alter ego.
Since Lizzie McGuire ended in 2004, Hilary Duff has gone on to star in a number of hit television shows, including Younger and How I Met Your Father, which was recently canceled. She also continues to work on her music.
In 2019, Duff married musician Matthew Koma and the two share two children together, 4-year-old Banks Violet Bair and 2 1/2-year-old Mae James Bair. The two met when Koma collaborated with Duff on one of her albums. She also has a son, Luca, 11, who she shares with ex-husband, Mike Comrie.

The former Disney Channel star spoke to PEOPLE in the past and said that she “loves this mayhem” when it comes to having three kids. But she did admit that parenting three young children was no easy feat.
“I’m so in love with all my kids… It’s a learning curve to throw a newborn into the mix. A lot of people have been like, ‘That third kid really gets you.’ And they’re right!”

In 2019, Duff almost came back to the Disney family when Disney announced that the beloved Lizzie McGuire show would be getting a reboot. Unfortunately, in December 2020, Duff took to Instagram to share that, despite having a script and getting the original cast back together, Disney had decided not to move forward with the reboot.
A couple of years later, Duff said that she thought Disney canceled the reboot after “getting spooked”. She said that Lizzie would be a “30-year-old woman doing 30-year-old things,” and Disney may not have felt comfortable with what those things were.
