Some Are Well and Truly Done With Disney World: “Apocalyptic Hellscape”

Disney World is certainly not for everyone, and one guest proved that when they took to social media to share a simple—though admittedly unpopular—opinion: “Disney World is horrible.”

Theme parks are not for everyone. Anyone who has been to one would know and agree with this. However, there are times when guests choose to go to a theme park—be it a Disney Park or otherwise—and learn the hard way that the experience is not for them.

One guest who tried out Disney World twice seems to fall within this category after they took to Reddit to share that Walt Disney World was an “apocalyptic hellscape with no redeeming quality.”

Guest Slams Disney World Vacation

A guest who is decidedly not a Disney adult took to Reddit to share in no uncertain terms that a Disney World vacation was not for them.

The OP wrote online, “I don’t get the fascination with Disney world. The 2 times I’ve visited it I’ve regretted it so much and thought it was the biggest waste of time. There’s many more things better then it and I don’t plan on ever bringing my kids there, they can be taken [by] parents of friends but not me.”

They continued that if one wanted to travel the world, they should actually do that instead of going to EPCOT and “[wasting] outrageous amounts of money on food that sucks.” The guest concluded that Disney World was a “tourist trap on steroids.”

Of course, fellow guests in the comments disagreed that the OP’s opinion was a “hot take,” noting how theme parks were not for everyone. Instead, they chose to give any future guests tips for the best times to visit the Central Florida Disney Resort, recommending guests go on their Disney trip during the off-season when there would be lower crowds.

Ultimately, Disney World is not everybody’s cup of tea. But it certainly makes a plethora of fans happy with its incredible rides and attractions and has earned its moniker of “The Most Magical Place on Earth” for a reason.
