One of the absolutely amazing things about Disney is that it knows no age. Be it the movies, the music, or the theme parks, Disney truly offers something for every age and almost every kind of person.
Sadly, over the years, being an adult Disney fan has become something that a lot of people like to make fun of. Adults who love to spend their time in the theme parks and their money on Disney merchandise are thought of as “immature” or liking something only meant for kids.

Now, Disney fully embraces the fact that so many adults love the company, and they love to celebrate Disney adults in the parks. However, Disney does know that there is a difference between the adults who visit the parks and the children who visit.
When guests visit a Disney park, they agree to follow certain rules and guidelines. One of those rules is that costumes are not allowed for guests over the age of 14.
- Costumes may not be worn by Guests 14 years of age or older
- Masks may not be worn by Guests 14 years of age or older (unless they are for medical purposes)

Most guests are aware of this rule, which is likely one reason Disneybounding has become so popular.
However, one guest who recently visited The Happiest Place on Earth had to learn the rules the hard way when he was stopped by Disneyland security when he tried to enter Disney California Adventure Park.
In a video shared by Marissa (whencanwedisneyagain) on TikTok, a man dressed in a Deadpool costume was seen talking to Disney security. The costume appeared to be an exact replica of the one worn by Ryan Reynolds in the Deadpool movies. The outfit fully covered the guest’s face, and he even appeared to have swords (most likely fake) on his back.

Most commenters were shocked that the guest would think that his costume would be allowed in the parks. Others asked if he was trying to get into Oogie Boogie Bash.
Oogie Boogie Bash replaced Mickey’s Halloween Party in 2019. The event was moved from Disneyland Park to Disney California Adventure, and guests of all ages are encouraged to dress as their favorite Disney characters. It is the only time of year when adults can wear full Disney costumes in the park.
However, there are still costume guidelines that guests need to follow. For example, guests over 14 are not allowed to wear masks that completely cover their faces.

Unfortunately, we do not know what happened to the rule-breaking guest. It’s possible that Disney security allowed him in once he removed his mask and got rid of the weapons. It is also possible they informed the guest that he would not be allowed to enter the theme parks until he completely changed his outfit.
Before visiting any Disney theme park, it is important to familiarize yourself with all rules and regulations. You want to have a magical vacation and don’t want to get in trouble for unknowingly breaking the rules!
