We kid, we kid…but it’s true that Walt Disney World Resort is incredibly popular, especially in the past couple of years. As travel restrictions and other pandemic-era practices were lifted, each Disney Park was stuffed to the gills with families who had been unable to visit due to COVID.

As a result of its popularity, Walt Disney World is quite the hub for illnesses. Just think about it: thousands of visitors from all over the world gather in dozens of tight spaces, touching the same spots, spreading droplets, etc., etc.

If the thought of all those germs makes you cringe, you’re not alone. But unfortunately, frequently washing and sanitizing hands isn’t quite enough to stop the spread at a place like Walt Disney World. One of the best ways to prevent the spread is to wear a mask, especially if you’re feeling icky yourself.

Although nobody wants to miss out on a day at Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, or EPCOT, some Guests should stay home if they’re sick.

And if you don’t want to stay home, then the unpopular truth is that you should wear a mask.

Properly wearing a mask over the nose and mouth will spread sicknesses and viruses like the flu, a common cold, and COVID.

If it sounds inconvenient or uncomfortable, simply think of the children, infants, and elderly visiting the Parks with their families.
