On September 19, 2025, the bakery’s management shared an important update with fans on their social media.

Rough news: We received some suspect cream cheese this week. It’s a bit off and consistency is of max important to us. So, as much as it may hurt, we’re dumping everything made from this week’s shipment, which includes Carrot Cake Slices for the Disney Springs location today and, unfortunately, this weekend’s release of Stuffed Guava Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies. It sucks. I apologize, but it’s the right thing to do. All should be back to normal next week. ⁣

An Unexpected Bonus: In place of the lost Carrot Cake Slices at Disney Springs today, the team threw together a never-before-released Chocolate Buttercream version of the Steve Hates Sprinkles Cake. Vanilla Cake, Rich Chocolate Buttercream, Crunchy Crumble, Chocolate Ganache & a Bunch of #$%&ing Sprinkles! While Supplies Last. Only at Gideon’s in Disney Springs.⁣

While guests were disappointed by the temporary absence of these beloved menu items, the team at Gideon’s didn’t leave them empty-handed. In place of the missing Carrot Cake Slices, they introduced a never-before-seen treat: the Chocolate Buttercream version of the “Steve Hates Sprinkles” cake.

The cake features a fluffy vanilla base topped with rich chocolate buttercream and crunchy crumble. It’s a unique creation that brought a touch of excitement to an otherwise disappointing situation.

In their update, the team also shared a fun little secret with their loyal fans: a hidden menu item. For those who might not know, you can ask to turn your Nitro Cold Brew into a float, with a scoop of Malted Vanilla Ice Cream from Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream. This “enhancement” is available for anyone who asks nicely, adding a delightful twist to the already popular cold brew offering.
