Although we don’t know much about Epic Universe, outside of the land areas that will be part of the park, we do know that adding to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano will be the first new theme park in Orlando since Walt Disney World opened Animal Kingdom.

Although with theme park news surrounding Epic Universe, there have been plenty of pics and videos giving Universal fans insight into what they can expect from the park that sits east of the most magical place on Earth.

However, on X, formerly Twitter, Christina Watkins of Wesh 2 shared some incredible footage of something guests have yet to see during the construction of the new park. Chopper 2, a helicopter owned and operated by the news station, caught amazing images of ride testing in an area of the park that has mostly remained in secrecy, the Dark Universe.

Among the new lands that will be included at Epic Universe, the Dark Universe is likely one of the more intriguing. Although it will reside amongst popular IPs such as How to Train Your Dragon, Harry Potter, and Super Mario, this area will pay homage to Universal’s annual celebration of horror, Halloween Horror Nights! Universal is the studio that brought horror mainstream, after all!

Universal Studios Orlando Resort will welcome Dark Universe, featuring classic monsters from their expansive collection. These monsters, including Dracula, Wolfman, and Frankenstein, will fill the land with Halloween Horror Vibes all year long! Keeping true to those spooky vibes, the above video shows what is reported to be an untitled Wolfman coaster that will call this area of Universal Epic Universe home.

When comparing Disney World to Universal Studios, when it comes to coasters, Universal is certainly undefeated. Already home to Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure and Velocicoaster, Universal has cemented itself as a prized vacation destination for those seeking fast-paced thrills.

Although the concept of a SUPER NINTENDO WORLD may not give off the same vibes that typical Universal Orlando Resort guests are looking for, a new roller coaster themed after one of their legendary monsters certainly will!

Already introducing the likes of Dr Victoria Frankenstein to the mix, the Dark Universe section of Epic Universe is shaping up to be an extremely exciting and interesting offering at Universal Studios Resort Orlando.

We’ll certainly keep you updated as more information comes forward regarding the new land, which will further strengthen the competitive edge between Universal and Disney, so stay tuned!
