Fans React to Jim Carrey’s Grinch Comeback and a Disney-Themed Quip

Forget the Whos down in Whoville—this holiday season, the Grinch is serving up sass and sarcasm at Universal Studios Orlando’s Islands of Adventure, leaving guests laughing and, occasionally, scratching their heads.

This is no ordinary Grinch; it’s the Jim Carrey-inspired green fiend, complete with iconic prosthetics, a spot-on voice, and all the chaotic energy of a Christmas-despising whirlwind.

Scottish TikToker Kirsty Clyne got more than she bargained for when she met the Grinch at Honk Honkers, a candy store decked out to resemble Mount Crumpit.

Decked out in Grinch-themed swag, Kirsty became the perfect target for the Grinch’s zingers. In the clip, he first roasts her sweater as a “poor imitation” of his grandeur. Then, spotting himself on her Crocs, he laments, “Oh look, I’m so useless, she steps on me all day!”

The pièce de résistance? When Kirsty reveals she’s Scottish, the Grinch whips out a rolling R’d accent that’s… ambitious at best. “Oh, Scottish. So we’re more of a Merida,” he quips, before joking, “Disney’s going to sue me. It’s okay, they sue everyone.” Classic Grinch—always ready to roast.

Naturally, TikTok chimed in. While some loved the impersonation (“Scottish Grinch is amazing,” says one fan), others are less impressed. “He sounds Irish,” laments a particularly salty Scot. Even so, Kirsty left the encounter grinning ear to ear—and with a selfie, of course.

The Grinchmas festivities at Universal’s Islands of Adventure don’t end there–Seuss Landing has been kitted out with Christmas decorations from Whoville where you can mingle with the residents (they’re not quite as terrifying as they are in the film); there’s also The Grinchmas™ Who-liday Spectacular, a live retelling of the classic tale, with performances starting at Seuss Landing on November 22. Grinchmas ends on December 31.

So, are you Team Grinch or Team Who? Either way, this green guy is stealing the holiday spotlight—and our hearts.
