Johnny Depp fans are mincing no words when it comes to how enraged they are after a Disney theme park used his likeness as Captain Jack Sparrow in a nighttime spectacular following his verdict victory in his defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard.
Over the weekend, Guests at Disneyland Paris were treated to a nighttime spectacular that featured a lights and projection show at Sleeping Beauty Castle. Part of the projections portion of the experience featured the face of Captain Jack Sparrow, portrayed by actor Johnny Depp. Seconds later, Depp’s voice can be heard in character as Captain Jack Sparrow as the score from the billion-dollar film franchise plays in the background.
While some fans surely must have found the nods to Depp and Captain Jack inspiring, some became enraged, especially when a video of the nighttime experience went viral on social media.
Many Johnny Depp fans who viewed the video of the nighttime spectacular grew angry and are now demanding that Disney issue a heartfelt apology to the talented actor who effectively won the defamation case he brought against his ex-wife Amber Heard.

“@Disney, a public apology would be better,” another tweet reads.
Still another tweet asks, “how you using this man’s name but refuse to apologize to him?”
“This makes me emotional, but [Disney] has to stop exploiting his image considering how they treated him,” commented a user via Instagram.
“My opinion is that Amber’s accusations would have had the most dramatic impact on his off-screen reputation,” said Christian Carino from the stand in April.
Depp won his case against ex-wife and actress Amber Heard as jurors awarded him $15 million total between compulsory and punitive damages, finding Depp proved all three claims he brought against Heard. The jury only found that Heard proved one of her claims, therein awarding her $2 million in compulsory damages and zero punitive damages.

Disney reportedly cut ties with Depp before a court case was ever on the docket, and to this day, there has been no public apology from the Walt Disney Company to Johnny Depp whatsoever.
