When planning their Walt Disney World vacation, guests often have a variety of experiences in mind. Some may dream of watching the fireworks in front of Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom, while others may be looking forward to a day of fun at Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon. Many are likely also pouring over EPCOT’s menus, eager to sample food and drinks from around the World Showcase.

But one thing most people don’t plan for is finding themselves in a situation where they have to ask the police to arrest them.

According to a recently released police report from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, that is exactly what happened in late September in Disney Springs.

On September 28, a significant disturbance was reported at the popular shopping and dining location within Walt Disney World Resort. Witnesses indicated that a woman was behaving erratically, drawing attention from both guests and security personnel. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department was called to the scene after Walt Disney World security expressed concerns regarding the guest’s behavior.

Witnesses described the woman as seemingly intoxicated. They reported her having fallen into a planter prior to the arrival of law enforcement. Observations included her glassy eyes, slurred speech, and aggressive demeanor.

Upon arriving at Disney Springs, law enforcement officials identified the woman involved as Marta Kaiser, a 46-year-old resident of Lake Worth, Florida. At the scene, officers noted several signs indicating that Kaiser was highly intoxicated. The responding deputy reported that Kaiser emitted a strong odor of alcohol, was unsteady on her feet, and exhibited signs of aggression toward bystanders and security personnel.

Attempts were made by the officers to escort Kaiser away from the area for her safety and the safety of others. Law enforcement sought to provide her with medical assistance for a cut on her elbow, reportedly sustained during her fall into the planter.

However, Kaiser remained combative, refusing medical attention and dismissing requests to leave the premises.

The police report states:

We stopped near the Coca-Cola store on the property and requested the District Fire Department to respond to evaluate and treat Ms. Kaiser for a laceration to her right elbow. Further attempts were made to get Ms. Kaiser a ride away from the property and a medical evaluation.

Ms. Kaiser, again, was verbally combative and began to swear profanities at staff and firefighters on site, attempting to render aid.

The situation escalated when Kaiser began vocalizing her desire to be arrested, repeatedly stating, “F*** you, take me to jail. I want to go to jail.” This outburst prompted the officers to take action based on her disorderly conduct.

Consequently, she was arrested for disorderly intoxication and transported to the Orange County Jail.

Kaiser paid a bond for her release after her arrest, which also included a trespass notice forbidding her from returning to any Disney property in the future.

Do you believe the prosecutor made the right decision in dropping the charges against Ms. Kaiser, or should she be held accountable for her actions? Share your thoughts in the comments!
