Next year, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open at both Disneyland Park and Magic Kingdom Park at the Walt Disney World Resort. The ride will take the place of the iconic Splash Mountain. The ride will close down at both Resorts soon and will reopen in 2024.
Disney Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro brought some of the creative Disney Imagineers who are working on the stage to share more information on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. And here’s what we now know.
The year is 1927 and Tiana is hosting a special party for her friends. However, she realizes that she is missing a special ingredient. Guests will join Tiana and Louis as Tiana hunts for a special ingredient to host her party.
Mist will be used to help bring some “true bayou magic” to the newly themed ride. The ride will also be a “love letter” to New Orleans, where the Imagineers have gone to find some true inspiration.
D’Amaro also shared that some of the original cast of The Princess and the Frog will lend their voices to the characters — including Princess Tiana, Prince Naveen, Mama Odie, and Louis.
