Check Out Whats NEW at EPCOT’s 2023 Flower and Garden Festival

There’s a buzz in the air that can only mean one thing: spring is right around the corner, and with it, EPCOT’S International Flower and Garden Festival! This festival is truly one of the most beautiful times of year to be at Walt Disney World, with the topiaries and amazingly intricate floral displays adorning EPCOT. This year there will be even MORE to love!

One of our favorite parts of the festival (aside from the food, of course) are the topiaries. This year Mirabel, Antonio, Isabela, and Luisa from Disney’s “Encanto ” will make their grand debut. You’ll find them near the EPCOT main entrance, but sadly, there won’t be a Bruno topiary (but we don’t talk about that). America’s princess will also be on display with a brand new Princess Tiana topiary, appropriately located outside of The American Adventure.

Your favorites will also be returning, like Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs; Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Captain Hook, Tick Tock Croc, Figment, Anna and Elsa, and more!

No EPCOT Festival is complete without food, right? This year, more than 15 outdoor kitchens will be serving up delicious and garden-fresh flavors. The kitchens (and menus), found throughout the World Showcase and Future World,  have not yet have not yet been announced, but Disney HAS confirmed Flower and Garden Festival fan favorites Citrus Blossom and Sparkling Sips will be back this year. However, you’ll find them in a brand new location: The Odyssey. The EPCOT Experience, which formerly occupied this space, closed not long ago to make room for new experiences. While those have yet to be announced, we always welcome more air-conditioned Festival spaces!

ORANGE BIRD

Spike the Bee and Orange Bird are back this year too! You’ll find Orange Bird merchandise throughout the park (and it’s probably a good bet that the ever-popular Orange Bird Sipper will also make a re-emergence). You’ll once again have the opportunity to join Spike the Bee on the Pollinator Trail. Here you’ll get to participate in Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration on a scavenger hunt to spot him in each of EPCOT’s pollinator gardens. Like years past, there will be a prize for completing the scavenger hunt!

Another returning addition this year is Blossoms of Fragrance, presented by Scentsy. Found on the bridge to the world showcase, you can stop at six different “smell stations” to experience the fantastic smells of spring (and create some lasting memories due to olfactory neural pathways …thanks, Science)!

The ever popular Garden Rocks concert series will also be back, as well as the Garden Rocks dining package. More information for Garden Rocks will be released at a later date.

We’re all aflutter over the new additions this year. This year’s festival will run an impressive five months beginning March 1, 2023, and ending July 5, 2023. The International Flower and Garden Festival is included in your admission to EPCOT but keep in mind that you must have a valid Park Pass reservation.

About Jill Bivins

Jill Bivins has been visiting Disney Parks since she was 2 years old and loves sharing her Disney adventures with the world. She likes to say Disney is in her blood and writing is in her bones — so any time she has the opportunity to combine these loves she is one happy camper! She has a deep abiding love for Epcot and as a die hard Star Wars fan has a serious love for Hollywood Studios as well. When she isn't exploring or writing about Disney Parks, Jill is homeschooling her 8 year old son, playing with her brand new baby son, or pretending to be a farmer on her family homestead (despite being unable to keep even a cactus alive).
