One Animal Kingdom cast member allegedly failed to secure seatbelt, resulting in a rather dangerous situation.
Walt Disney World is easily recognized as The Most Magical Place on Earth, but it could easily be mistaken for the âSafest Place on Earth.â Or so we thoughtâŚ

But one experience was especially frightening, as it involved a Cast Member neglecting to secure somebody’s seatbelt. Reddit user Snoo47321 writes,
Riding on Dinosaur, an elderly woman in front of us her lap bar didnât fully close. We all tried yelling at the Cast Members to stop the ride but nobody heardâŚshe spent the whole ride clinging to her elderly husband and we all didnât know what to do the whole time worried she would fall out. We exited the ride as they were talking to the Cast MembersâŚso thankful she wasnât hurt. I really didnât think something like that could happen at Disney with all of their safeguards in place. We still talk about it!
They later amend that it wasn’t a lap bar at all, but one of those lap seatbelts.

What makes this story so jarring is that Animal Kingdom’s DINOSAUR attraction is infamous for being an incredibly bumpy ride.
While the Disney Park is home to rides such as Kilimanjaro Safaris, Avatar Flight of Passage, and Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain, its DinoLand U.S.A. dark ride is one of the most thrilling.

DINOSAUR involves Guests sitting on a ride vehicle that spins this way and that as they dodge everything from giant Carnotaurus animatronics to a meteorite-based extinction event.
In short, it’s a pretty intense attraction. Not only is the subject matter and the threatening dinosaur animatronic pretty jarring for some audiences, but the ride vehicle’s erratic movements are just as thrilling.
Out of all of the dark rides in Walt Disney World, this is easily one of the worst to ride without a functioning seatbelt.
