This kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable.
Walt Disney World is no stranger to the issue of Guests consuming excessive alcohol and behaving irresponsibly. With numerous bars and restaurants across the Park, it’s easy for some to lose themselves in the moment. There is nothing wrong with enjoying an adult beverage at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, but when it starts affecting the experience of others, it has gone too far.
A truly frustrating situation played out at a popular Walt Disney World Resort attraction that had guests seriously shaking their heads.
Drinking Irresponsibly at Disney
Of all the Disney Parks, there is one that has gained an unfortunate reputation for excessive drinking. That Park is none other than EPCOT, one of the four incredible theme Parks on Walt Disney World Resort property. Because of the easy access to a large assortment of alcoholic beverages, this Park has become a hot spot for drunk Guests.
While all rides are affected by this, one of the park’s most popular attractions, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, is particularly seeing issues. Cosmic Rewind is an immersive roller coaster experience that takes riders on a journey through space alongside the beloved characters from the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. This attraction promises an adrenaline rush and a dash of intergalactic fun. Unfortunately, it seems that for a few visitors, this excitement, when mixed with overindulgence in alcoholic beverages, can become an unpleasant experience for others.
EPCOT Guest Shares Horrific Account of Disney Drinking
One Guest took to Walt Disney World’s Reddit page to air out their grievances after a particularly negative experience with drunk and disorderly Guests on the ride. They explain;
“Took my significant other to Epcot for their first time ever. Purchased lightning lane for 8-9 on Friday for the special occasion.
During the first pre-show, this guy just starts yelling at the screen. In the next room, he and another group starts yelling peni$ at the top of their lungs, then just start clapping as loud as they can. They continued to yell and started running around, bumping into people in queue before boarding. It completely ruined the pre-show for my significant other.
I understand people might be excited for a ride, but there’s no reason to ruin the experience for others, especially from grown adults that know better 🙁
Edit: as far as I know, they were drunk (obviously that’s hard to tell). The main perp was a guy, mid-20s that was bragging about how many times he has ridden guardians. He then recruited some college aged guys and a family with teen boys in his antics.”

Dozens of fans commented, agreeing that this situation was indeed horrific. Disney Parks are meant to be family-friendly places, and hearing about this language is extremely disappointing. Hopefully, this trend will die down, and Disney Parks can become a happier, more civilized place for drinking.
