A ticket to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party unlocks much more than five hours of Halloween entertainment at Magic Kingdom.

Guests have plenty competing for their attention once the event begins. There are trick-or-treat trails to visit, characters to meet, attractions to ride, and exclusive entertainment happening throughout the park. Add specialty food and merchandise into the mix, and the night can move quickly.

But some of the easiest things to miss don’t cost anything extra.

Disney includes three complimentary offerings with party admission, and a couple of them can even become souvenirs from your Halloween night.

Halloween Takes Over Magic Kingdom

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party takes place on select nights during the Halloween season and requires a separate ticket.

Once the event begins, Magic Kingdom transforms into a Halloween celebration. Guests can dress in costumes that follow Disney’s guidelines, fill their bags with candy, meet characters, and enjoy attractions throughout the evening.

Entertainment also plays a major role.

Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade brings Disney characters and Halloween favorites through the park. Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular adds fireworks above Cinderella Castle, while the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular brings another exclusive show to the party.

Guests can also find attraction overlays, specialty food, merchandise, and character appearances that aren’t normally available during a regular day.

With only five official party hours, though, it can be easy to overlook some of the extras Disney includes.

1. Free Candy!

Trick-or-treating isn’t just for kids at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

Disney places treat locations throughout Magic Kingdom, and party guests can stop at multiple spots during the evening to collect candy.

That makes trick-or-treating easy to work into the rest of your plans. You can grab some candy on the way to a character, visit another location before a show, and keep adding treats as you move through the park.

Disney also provides accommodations for guests with food allergies.

Anyone with allergy concerns can speak with a Disney Cast Member about the allergy-friendly trick-or-treating process. Disney offers alternatives for guests with certain dietary restrictions, allowing more visitors to participate.

And you don’t necessarily need to bring something from home to hold those treats.

2. Complimentary Disney Bag

Disney provides party guests with a complimentary trick-or-treat bag for collecting candy, but don’t assume you need to toss it after Halloween.

The 2026 design gives Disney fans a reason to keep it.

One side features Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, tying the bag directly to the Disney Halloween celebration. Turn it around, and Haunted Mansion takes over.

The opposite side features the Hitchhiking Ghosts from the classic Magic Kingdom attraction.

That gives guests a useful item during the party and a small keepsake afterward. You can fill it with candy throughout the night and then bring the bag home as a reminder of your 2026 visit.

There is another free item, however, that guests can turn into an even more personalized memory.

Don’t automatically throw away your Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party map when the night ends.

The physical Halloween-themed guide provides useful information while you’re inside Magic Kingdom, including details about attractions, entertainment, treat locations, and other party offerings.

Once you leave, it can serve another purpose.

Because the map represents that particular year’s Halloween event, it makes an easy addition to a scrapbook or Disney vacation memory book.

Guests could also bring small Halloween stickers and use the map to track their night. Place a sticker over each attraction you experience, and you’ll have a personalized record of what you managed to accomplish before midnight.

It’s simple, but it can turn an otherwise disposable guide into a unique piece of vacation memorabilia.

Plan Ahead for Your Halloween Party Night

Guests don’t have to wait until 7 p.m. to enter Magic Kingdom.

A valid Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party ticket allows guests to enter beginning at 4 p.m. The Halloween event officially starts at 7 p.m. and continues until midnight.

Make sure you receive your party wristband as well. Cast Members use wristbands to identify guests with valid event admission as Magic Kingdom transitions from regular operations into the separately ticketed party. Guests without party admission cannot remain for the event.

Arriving before the official start gives you time to get situated before those five party hours begin.

Once 7 p.m. arrives, there is plenty to fit in before midnight. And between all the entertainment and attractions, don’t forget about the complimentary candy, treat bag, and party map that come with the experience.
