The Walt Disney World Resort is home to an incredible collection of attractions. From immersive thrill rides to classic dark rides, there’s something for everyone to enjoy during their time at “The Most Magical Place on Earth.”

Despite Disney being fun for the whole family, there’s certainly no shortage of intense attractions, with Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster being one of the best examples.

Located at Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is a fast and furious thrill ride that propels guests through Los Angeles city streets. The ride is anchored by music and performances from legendary rock band Aerosmith, with Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster blasting classic Aerosmith tunes directly into guests’ ears.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster recently reopened following a lengthy closure. However, fans are somewhat confused about an easy-to-miss detail in the ride’s queue.

Prior to actually boarding their ride vehicles, guests make their way through Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster’s line, which is intended to represent a fictional recording studio known as G Force Records.

As guests wait in line, they will see all kinds of recording equipment, musical instruments, and rock and roll memorabilia. Guests eventually make their way into the recording studio, where they come face to face with Steven Tyler and the rest of Aerosmith.

Prior to this encounter, guests pass through the main lobby of the fictional G Force Records studio, walking past posters advertising singers, musicians, and even a few Disney films.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster reopened earlier this year, welcoming guests back after the nearly six-month refurbishment. During this closure, the ride received several upgrades, including changes to the queue and its theming.

However, nearly a year later, a poster for Disney’s 2023 film Wish can still be seen in the line. This curious artifact sparked a discussion online, with Reddit user Faly11204 sharing an image of the rather dated poster.

“Rn’R was closed for months and they still have the ‘Wish- in theaters” poster,” says the guest. This portion of the queue is updated occasionally, often advertising the latest crop of Disney and Marvel films. However, given that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster was closed for almost half of 2024, it’s interesting to see a poster for a movie from 2023 survive the refurbishment.

Several users responded to the poster, with some discussing Wish‘s overall performance

“There is a crap ton of Wish merch at Cast Connection right now, I’m assuming at the character warehouse outlets too. That movie is toast,” said one user.

Reddit user Toonami88 shared their harsh take on the film, saying no one remembers Wish. “The only thing that confirms Wish actually existed. Nobody remembers it.”

User CJ33333 said, “I don’t get why a poster for Wish would be in the Rn’R queue to begin with.”

Disney’s Wish was somewhat of a flop, generating a little over $200 million at the box office on an estimated budget of $175 million. While praised for its voice cast and animation style, many felt Wish was derivative and offered nothing new.

Wish received mixed reviews from critics and fans and quickly became one of Disney’s least memorable releases in recent years.

Given the amount of time Disney had to refurbish and renovate Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, it is certainly curious newer films like Moana 2 (204) or the upcoming Marvel film Deadpool & Wolverine (2024) are not teased instead.

It’s long been rumored that Disney was considering retheming Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and dropping Aerosmith from the attraction entirely.

These rumors continued to stir in 2023 and 2024 due to accusations made against the band’s frontman, Steven Tyler, who was sued several times for sexual assault of former partners. Both lawsuits were eventually dismissed by a judge, but the damage to him and the Aerosmith brand had already been done.

When Disney first announced that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster would be closing, some assumed it had finally come time to remove Aerosmith from the ride. However, the coaster reopened in July with the Aerosmith branding intact.
