Disney’s Hollywood Studios Sells Out Its First 2026 After Hours Event
Disney fans have been snapping up tickets to After Hours events throughout 2026, but one park had managed to avoid selling out—until now.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios has officially recorded its first sold-out Disney After Hours event of the year, marking another milestone for one of Walt Disney World’s most popular limited-capacity experiences. While there are still several opportunities to attend before the season ends, this latest update could encourage guests to make their plans sooner rather than later.
Hollywood Studios Reaches a New Milestone
The August 5 Disney After Hours event at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has officially reached capacity. Tickets for that evening were priced at $169, and demand was strong enough to make it the first Hollywood Studios After Hours event to sell out during the 2026 season.
The news also means every Walt Disney World park hosting Disney After Hours has now experienced at least one sold-out event this year. Magic Kingdom reached that point months ago and no longer has any After Hours dates available. EPCOT has also sold several nights throughout the season, leaving Hollywood Studios as the final park to join the list.
Even though only one Hollywood Studios event has sold out so far, it shows that interest remains high as summer begins winding down.
Why Guests Love Disney After Hours
Disney After Hours offers a very different experience than spending a regular day in the parks.
Instead of navigating large daytime crowds, guests enjoy a limited-capacity event where many of the park’s biggest attractions typically have much shorter waits. That alone has made After Hours increasingly popular with visitors looking to accomplish more in less time.
Guests also receive early park entry beginning at 7 p.m., even though the exclusive event doesn’t officially begin until 9:30 p.m. The experience continues until 12:30 a.m., giving attendees several hours to enjoy Hollywood Studios after most day guests have left.
It’s one of the few opportunities each year to experience the park with a much quieter atmosphere.
Plenty of Headliner Attractions Stay Open
Hollywood Studios keeps many of its biggest attractions operating throughout the event.
Guests can experience favorites including Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, Slinky Dog Dash, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.
Those attractions regularly produce some of the longest standby waits during normal operating hours, making After Hours especially appealing for visitors who want to maximize the number of rides they experience.
Disney also sprinkles surprise character appearances throughout the evening, creating moments that aren’t always available during a standard park visit.
Snacks Are Included Too
The ticket price also covers unlimited complimentary popcorn, bottled beverages, and ice cream novelties during the event.
While those treats aren’t the main reason guests purchase After Hours tickets, they add another layer of convenience. Instead of budgeting extra money for snacks, attendees can simply stop by participating locations throughout the night while moving between attractions.
For many families, it’s another nice perk that helps separate After Hours from a regular day inside the park.
There Are Still Tickets Left—for Now
Although August 5 has sold out, Disney still has five Hollywood Studios After Hours events remaining this year.
The remaining dates continue through September, with ticket prices ranging from $155 to $169 before taxes. Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members can also save $30 per ticket.
Whether additional dates sell out remains to be seen, but this latest milestone suggests demand isn’t slowing down. If visiting Hollywood Studios with lower crowds sounds appealing, waiting until the final weeks could become a gamble.
