Though other Disney Parks within Europe and Asia often receive a beautiful white blanket of snow due to climate conditions, usually the only snowfall at the Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland and Disney California Adventure is the kind made from soap bubbles. However, current weather conditions have dropped to freezing temperatures across Los Angeles County, Simi Valley, and Anaheim, where Disneyland resides.
As a result, many Southern Californians have gleefully shared images and videos of them frolicking in the rare snow (which is actually graupel, a type of ice pellet or soft hail) all week. And yesterday, visitors to the Disneyland Resort received a magical surprise that made Disney history during one of its most historic years!

In fact, you can see this history in action through a new video posted to the Disney Parks’ TikTok account, where a Cast Member shows off her snowy surroundings. The camera pans through the newly refurbished Mickey’s Toontown area and Fantasyland, where Cast Members working the “it’s a small world” attraction huddle under an umbrella, celebrating but also looking pretty cold in heavy coats and white gloves.
Moreover, after she wishes them a “Happy Snow Day,” we see flakes falling tranquility upon the Partners statue and Sleeping Beauty Castle, which Walt Disney Imagineering recently updated in honor of the platinum anniversary. Furthermore, Company employees have shared similar videos of snow at the Walt Disney Animation Studios lot in Burbank, with the Disney Studios account even commenting about it on this post.
