This year, Disney Parks will introduce its first-ever Princess-themed after-hours event, Princess Nite, which promises to offer Guests rare character meet and greets, amongst other exclusive experiences.
The Disneyland After Dark series of After Hours events offer Disney Park Guests unique entertainment, specialty dining menus, and exclusive collectible merchandise, and, most importantly, rare Disney character encounters. Previous events such as Villains Nite, Star Wars Nite, and 90s Nite have introduced never-before-seen character performers or brought back long-gone retro Disney heroes for one night only.

So, whom might Guests see when the event takes place on March 7 and 9, 2023, at Disneyland Park? Firstly, Disneyland has already shared that Princess Minnie Mouse and Princess Daisy Duck will greet arrivals with a royal welcome, and that the evening will feature magical entertainment such as a live concert featuring Moana and Merida, along with Vanellope Von Schweetz’s candy-themed dance party.
In addition, Tiana will be serving up Southern hospitality in New Orleans Square along with special photo opportunities inspired by Beauty and the Beast (1991) and The Princess Diaries (2001). However, maybe these hints mean that Guests could get to interact with Tiana as she will appear in the all new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure attraction, or her signature white dress from “Almost There” as featured on the Disney Cruise Line.

Maybe, Disney will even bring out some live-action characters for the first time, such as Mia Thermopolis or Enchanted (2007)’s Giselle! Typically, live-action meet and greets are more rare because Disney has to pay royalty fees for the right’s to an actor’s specific face claim.
On top of that, in addition to the standard princesses we know and love, fans might hope for the return of some older and less represented characters, like Ariel’s elusive daughter Melody, Princess Atta from A Bug’s Life (1998), Kida from Atlantis (2001), or even Eilonwy from the infamous Black Cauldron (1985)! Plus, both events will include unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital downloads, pre-party admission to Disneyland Park at 6 p.m., and commemorative keepsakes like a souvenir credntial and event map.
