Main Street, U.S.A. at Disneyland Park looks noticeably different this week. Here’s the latest construction update out of Disneyland Paris Resort.

Where bare plywood once lined the walkway, a series of themed posters now advertise a mix of real and fictional Main Street, U.S.A. businesses, including Casey’s Corner, Harrington’s Fine China and Porcelains, Disney Clothiers, and Flora’s Unique Boutique. The result is a stretch of construction wall that feels like it belongs on Main Street, U.S.A., rather than interrupting it, keeping the Victorian storytelling of the area intact even while one of its most prominent buildings sits wrapped in scaffolding.

White scrim covers virtually the entire Plaza Gardens Restaurant structure behind the walls, leaving only the rooftop balcony visible to Disney Park guests passing by. The new posters don’t hide the scale of the project, but they go a long way toward making the walk past it more enjoyable.
A Project That’s Been Underway Since April
Plaza Gardens Restaurant closed in April 2026 for what Disneyland Paris Resort described as a significant overhaul affecting nearly every part of the building. The refurbishment encompasses a refreshed interior and exterior color palette, modernized kitchen and dining spaces, and full replacement of the flooring, facades, and roofing. The European Disney Resort has framed the project as an effort to enhance the guest experience while preserving the Victorian elegance the restaurant has carried since Disneyland Park first opened.

The reopening is targeted for early 2027, though Disneyland Paris Resort hasn’t committed to a specific date. That leaves the newly decorated construction walls as the defining visual for this stretch of Main Street, U.S.A., for quite some time to come.
