Disney Park Cancels New Year’s Eve Party

While we prepare for New Year’s Eve just days away. We’re learning one Disney Park has announced they are canceling their New Year’s Eve Party due to governmental restrictions.

The Disneyland Paris New Year’s Eve Party was said to be “A Glittering Celebration You’ll Never Forget” including a chance to ring in the new year with spectacular delights, exclusive late-night access to the attractions, and a dazzling fireworks display.

Unfortunately, as COVID cases continue to increase in France, the French government is enforcing new health and safety guidelines. Disneyland Paris reported, “Following the latest announcements from the French government, beginning Saturday 18 December, regardless of vaccination status, those wishing to travel to France from the UK will need to meet criteria outlined by the French authorities that the travel is essential. Currently, leisure travel does not meet such criteria. To see the full list of what constitutes essential travel, exemptions, testing, quarantine, and other travel requirements we invite you to refer to official sources for travel requirements.

@DLPReport took to Twitter to announce, “In light of governmental restrictions, Disneyland Paris has canceled the New Years’ Eve Party. Ticket holders will be refunded. Disneyland Park will however be open til 1am & Walt Disney Studios til 12:30, all included in regular day admission.”

Disneyland Paris announced the cancellation and what to do for ticket refunds as follows:

Disney New Year’s Eve Party: Given the current situation and the health measures taken for 31 December throughout France, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Disney New Year’s Eve Party.

Already have a Hotel + Ticket package or a room-only booking that includes the night of 31 December 2021 and a Disney New Year’s Eve Party ticket?​ If you decide to keep your booking, your Disney New Year’s Eve Party ticket will be canceled and refunded.​ If you wish to cancel your entire booking, you can change or cancel your booking without fees and receive a full refund up to 7 days before your arrival, excluding insurance and/or transport fees, if applicable.​

Have a Disney New Year’s Eve Party ticket only?​ Tickets for the Disney New Year’s Eve Party purchased on the Disneyland Paris website or by telephone will be canceled and you will receive a full refund.​

Booked a New Year’s Eve Dinner including a Disney New Year’s Eve Party Ticket?​ You can keep your Festive Dinner booking with us and access the Disney Parks during the evening. You will be offered gift cards as compensation for the Disney New Year’s Eve Party being canceled (€100 per adult and €50 per child)​

Alternatively, you can cancel your entire booking and request a full refund.​ In both cases, our holiday experts will contact you shortly to make the necessary arrangements.
