Disneyland Opens 2027 Reservations, but Some Guests Still Can’t Book

Disneyland Resort guests can officially start planning their 2027 vacations.

As of August 25, Disney has opened its booking window for 2027 Disneyland Resort vacation packages and hotel reservations. The new window covers eligible arrivals throughout the entire year, from January 1 through December 31, 2027.

For anyone who has been waiting to put next year’s Disneyland trip on the calendar, that wait is over.

Guests can now begin checking hotel availability, comparing vacation packages, and getting a much clearer idea of what a 2027 Disneyland Resort trip could look like.

There is, however, an important restriction that could affect anyone planning to travel toward the end of next year.

Disneyland’s 2027 Booking Window Is Now Open

Disney announced the August 25 opening ahead of time, giving guests a chance to prepare before reservations officially became available.

Now that the date has arrived, 2027 planning can begin.

Guests can book Disneyland Resort vacation packages or make hotel reservations online or by phone. Disney’s announcement covers arrivals throughout 2027, making this the first major opportunity for guests to start securing accommodations for next year.

That’s particularly useful for families who already have a specific vacation period in mind.

Some guests plan around spring break or summer vacation. Others may be looking at holiday trips or special celebrations. Whatever the reason, opening the calendar this far ahead gives travelers more time to make decisions.

It can also help guests who have a particular Disney hotel in mind.

Rather than waiting until 2027 gets closer, those travelers can start looking at their options now.

Not Every 2027 Date Can Be Booked Yet

There’s one detail guests shouldn’t overlook.

Disneyland Resort doesn’t allow the first day of a vacation to be booked more than 499 days in advance.

Because of that rule, opening reservations for 2027 doesn’t necessarily mean every date through December 31 will immediately appear as an option.

Guests planning trips later in 2027 may need to wait.

As their desired arrival date moves within 499 days, they should then be able to begin the reservation process.

This is an important distinction because someone searching for a late-2027 vacation could otherwise assume that a missing date means rooms are already unavailable.

That may not be the case at all.

The date could simply fall outside the booking limit.

Disneyland Guests Can Start Planning Much Earlier

Disney vacations can involve plenty of moving pieces, so having additional planning time can be useful.

A Disneyland Resort trip may involve hotel accommodations, park tickets, transportation, airfare, meals, and other expenses. Families also have work and school schedules to consider.

Opening 2027 reservations in August 2026 gives travelers months to begin working through those details.

Some guests may still decide to wait. There’s certainly no requirement to book a Disneyland vacation the moment reservations become available.

But guests with firm dates or specific hotel preferences now have the option to get started.

Meanwhile, Disney also has offers available for guests interested in visiting sooner. The company previously pointed toward fall and winter 2026 opportunities for travelers who aren’t waiting until next year.

For everyone looking ahead, however, August 25 marks the beginning of the 2027 Disneyland Resort vacation-planning season.

The booking window has officially opened, and next year’s Disneyland trips can finally start moving from ideas to actual reservations.
