A recent incident at Disneyland Resort has left many guests shocked and appalled. Reports indicate that a child, under the supervision of his grandmother, urinated on strollers belonging to multiple families near the Tomorrowland Monorail station at Disneyland Park. The situation escalated when the child urinated on a woman who confronted him about the behavior.
Disney Park guests were understandably disturbed by the unfolding scene. A former Disneyland Monorail cast member shared his recollection of the incident on Reddit under the username u/watersurf:
“I was working at the Monorail on the TL side and I was at the entrance just greeting guests. I guess there was this little boy (3 or 4ish) that was running around peeing on people’s strollers. When he got called out, he went and peed on the lady who called him out. I don’t know if it was a flex or what but the lady screamed at the grandma who was watching him; who didn’t speak a lick of English.”
Disneyland Resort cast members face numerous challenges daily, not least of which is keeping the theme parks clean and welcoming for all guests. Incidents such as the one involving the child pose particular difficulties. Custodial teams try to respond to high-priority incidents as quickly as possible. Still, guests shouldn’t hesitate to notify the nearest Disney cast member if they’re concerned about a dangerous mess.
Guests should also feel comfortable alerting the nearest Disney cast member to any unruly, violent, or inappropriate behavior at Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, or Downtown Disney District. Employees can contact security teams trained to de-escalate theme park conflicts and take swift action if guests’ behavior necessitates their removal from the Southern California Disney parks.
