Visiting Walt Disney World Resort is a truly magical experience that takes Guests out of reality and puts them into their very own adventure. Guests who love all creatures great and small can enjoy Animal Kingdom. Those who love the Golden Age of Hollywood and movie-making can head over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. For foodies and world travelers, there’s EPCOT; for those who love whimsy, wishing, and fantastical places, there’s Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park.
Nearly every day, Walt Disney World’s four theme parks are open early enough for those who are morning people and stay open late enough to satisfy some night owls (Disney Springs is also fun for those late evenings). However, on Tuesday, January 31, 2o23, the Magic Kingdom will be closing much earlier than normal. The Park will be closing at 4:30 p.m.
As you can see, the Magic Kingdom will open at its normal time — including its Early Entry for those staying at a Disney World hotel — and will even allow people to Park Hop to the Park at 2 p.m. However, just two and a half hours later, Magic Kingdom will close its gates.
Even though the Magic Kingdom will close early, Disney’s three other theme parks will operate under normal hours. EPCOT will be open until 9 p.m., Disney’s Hollywood Studios will also be open until 9 p.m., and Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be open until 7 p.m. Just like Magic Kingdom, all three theme parks will also open half an hour early for Disney Resort hotel Guests.
At this time, Disney has given no official reason as to why the Magic Kingdom will be closing early. However, around this same time last year, the Park closed early so that Disney could celebrate its Cast Members with a special event just for them. These events happen throughout the year, and no one is more deserving than the hardworking Disney Cast Members!
