Disney World Just Made It Easier To Stay at Onsite Hotels With a Toddler
Families traveling to Walt Disney World Resort with young children have a new reason to feel good about booking onsite hotels.
A Smarter Solution for Little Sleepers

Walt Disney World Resort has swapped out its traditional metal toddler bed rails for cushioned bed bumpers at its onsite hotels. The shift replaces the metal bedrails, which can be rigid, cold to the touch, and not exactly the most comfortable thing for a toddler to roll against in the middle of the night.
Rather than attaching to the side of the bed frame, the new padded bumpers slide directly under the fitted sheet, sitting flush with the mattress surface. The result is a softer, warmer barrier that still keeps young children from slipping off the bed but without the hard edges of its predecessor. WDW News Today shared a photo on Facebook showing the new bumpers set up on a Disney Resort hotel bed, giving families a preview of what to expect at check-in.
The Full Picture of Family Amenities

The bumper upgrade is part of a broader collection of complimentary amenities Walt Disney World Resort offers to guests staying onsite with infants and toddlers. Pack ‘n Play travel cribs, bottle warmers, bottle sterilizers, infant bathtubs, night lights, diaper disposal units, mini refrigerators, stroller storage, bathroom step stools, and medication storage assistance are all available at no additional charge across Value, Moderate, and Deluxe Disney Resort hotels alike.
However, none of these items are guaranteed, so requesting them ahead of time is a smart move. Families can submit requests during online check-in or upon arrival at the front desk. Getting ahead of the request gives Disney cast members the best possible window to have the room fully prepared before guests walk in.
