Walt Disney World is making massive changes coming in late May and early June.
Walt Disney World Resort is known as “The Most Magical Place on Earth,” which sees thousands of Guests daily. With this amount of traffic heading to Disney Parks, Disney is forced to make changes occasionally. Disney World is home to four theme parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Each Disney theme park includes something different for Guests to experience.

Whether you’re a thrill-seeker looking for “fast rides,” or if you enjoy more of the timeless classics, Disney World has something for everyone– both the young and the young at heart– to enjoy. As we look toward the future of Walt Disney World Resort, there’s plenty to be excited about, including major changes coming in just a few weeks.
Disney World recently announced that it will be extending its hours in the coming month. Disney operating hours at the Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios have been extended for the last week of May and the first week of June. Disney changes hours for many reasons, including the influx of Guests arriving, spring break or summer, or certain holidays.

These hours have changed from May 28 through June 3, 2023. Magic Kingdom’s hours will be changed on May 30, May 31, and June 2. The previous hours were 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., but the new hours are 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Disney did not update the hours for June 1 due to Magic Kingdom already planning to close at 10:00 p.m. On May 31, select Disney Resort Guests will be able to enjoy Magic Kingdom with Extending Evening Hours now happening from 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

Guests heading to Disney’s Hollywood Studios will also get a chance to stay in the Parks longer. On May 28th, Disney World Guests were looking at the Park being open from 8:30 a.m. til 9:00 p.m. Thanks to the new hours, Guests now can stay from 8:30 a.m. til 10:00 p.m. On May 29 through June 3, Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ previous hours were 8:30 a.m. til 9:00 p.m., and the new hours are 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

The extended hours are sure to be a hit with Guests who have been eagerly waiting to return to the Parks. With more time to explore these two theme parks, Disney World Guests will have the opportunity to experience more attractions, shows, and entertainment options. The extended hours will also provide Guests with more flexibility, allowing them to plan their day around their preferred activities.
