Disney World Hotel Rollout: Exclusive New Perks Officially in Effect

Guests checking into two of Disney World’s most popular resort hotels this month have plenty to be excited about. August has introduced a collection of limited-time experiences that add even more value to a stay at the Walt Disney World Swan and Walt Disney World Dolphin. From live entertainment and rotating dining options to family-friendly activities, there’s now even more happening after guests return from the theme parks.

The hotels have long been favorites for their location and guest benefits, but this month’s additions give visitors even more opportunities to enjoy their vacation without venturing far from their rooms.

Swan and Dolphin Already Offer Valuable Disney Benefits

The Walt Disney World Swan and Walt Disney World Dolphin occupy one of the best locations on Disney property, sitting within walking distance of EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Although Disney does not own the hotels, they still provide several benefits that make them attractive alternatives to Disney-owned Deluxe Resorts.

Guests can purchase Disney tickets directly through the hotels, use complimentary Disney transportation, enjoy Early Entry at the theme parks, participate in Extended Evening Hours on eligible nights, reserve Disney golf tee times in advance, and make Lightning Lane selections seven days before check-in.

Those year-round advantages already make the resorts appealing, but August offers several additional experiences available only this month.

Live Music Takes Center Stage

One of the biggest August additions is the Swan and Dolphin Summer Concert Series, which officially began on August 1.

Hotel guests, along with visitors who purchase a resort pass, can attend evenings featuring live music, themed food trucks, specialty cocktails, and outdoor entertainment. The remaining performances are scheduled for August 8, 15, 21, and 29, giving guests multiple chances to join the festivities.

Each concert offers its own atmosphere thanks to changing menus and featured beverage partners, making every event feel unique rather than a repeat of the same experience each week.

Weekly Menus Keep Guests Coming Back

The concert series is accompanied by rotating food and drink offerings that change throughout the month.

Bites on the Move serves exclusive menu items during each event. Guests can enjoy bratwurst on a pretzel bun during one weekend, while other dates feature options like tequila-lime shrimp tacos, braised beef tacos topped with pineapple salsa, smoked wings with a sweet-and-spicy glaze, and a final taco celebration to close out the series at the end of August.

The beverage lineup also evolves throughout the month. Different beverage companies sponsor each concert weekend with themed cocktails that match the event, giving returning guests something new to sample every time they visit.

Because both the menus and drinks rotate, visitors staying several nights can enjoy a different experience throughout their vacation.

August Also Brings Sweet Extras

The limited-time offerings extend beyond concerts and food trucks.

Families dining at The Fountain can receive a complimentary scoop of ice cream for kids when they purchase a child’s entrée throughout August.

The resorts are also celebrating several food-themed occasions with one-day promotions. Guests visiting on August 4 can purchase discounted chocolate chip cookies at Java, Fuel, and Grounds for National Chocolate Cookie Day. Later in the month, qualifying chicken-finger meals on August 25 include a complimentary soda as part of National Chicken-Finger Day.

These promotions provide another incentive for guests to explore the resorts’ restaurants during their stay.

Resort Activities Continue All Day

Alongside the special August programming, guests can also enjoy a wide variety of daily activities around the resorts.

Visitors can ride Swan Boats between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., splash down the water slide from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m., and take part in outdoor games throughout the day. Once evening arrives, S’mores on the Shore and Cinema on the Beach keep the entertainment going.

Additional activities are available for families looking for even more to do. Camp Dolphin operates daily from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m., while Brena’s Arts and Activities and the Fun Team Craft Station offer creative experiences during the afternoon for an additional fee.

Together, these activities make it easy to fill an entire resort day without stepping inside one of Disney World’s four theme parks.

August Offers Even More Value

The Swan and Dolphin have always appealed to guests looking for Deluxe-level benefits in a convenient location. This month, however, the resorts are offering much more than their usual lineup of perks.

Between the Summer Concert Series, changing food truck menus, themed cocktails, limited-time dining promotions, and a full calendar of daily activities, August gives guests plenty of reasons to spend extra time enjoying the resorts themselves. For anyone visiting Disney World this month, these added experiences help turn a hotel stay into another memorable part of the vacation.
