Disney World Faces Back-to-Back Weather Warnings, Closures Could Be Next

Walt Disney World guests are dealing with another round of potentially troublesome weather, and the latest forecast could make spending an entire day outdoors more challenging than usual.

For the second day in a row, the National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory affecting the Central Florida counties where Disney World operates. With gusts potentially reaching 45 mph, visitors may need to adjust their plans as conditions change throughout the day.

While Disney World remains open, the weather could create some unexpected complications for families visiting the theme parks.

Disney World Under Another Wind Advisory

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for Orange and Osceola Counties on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.

The advisory begins at 11 a.m. and continues until 8 p.m., covering some of the busiest hours of the day at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Forecasters expect sustained northeast winds between 15 and 25 mph, with gusts generally reaching 35 to 40 mph.

However, isolated squalls moving inland during the afternoon and evening could produce gusts as high as 45 mph.

This follows a similar advisory issued Monday, when winds were expected to reach approximately 40 mph.

Temperatures will remain relatively warm, with afternoon readings around 80 degrees and overnight lows in the low 70s.

Unfortunately, the comfortable temperatures won’t necessarily make conditions ideal for spending hours outside.

What This Means for Disney World Visitors

Although Disney hasn’t announced widespread attraction closures because of the advisory, strong winds can sometimes interfere with outdoor experiences.

Attractions operating outdoors may experience temporary interruptions if conditions become unsafe.

Entertainment could also be affected, particularly performances involving large equipment, outdoor stages, or fireworks.

Magic Kingdom guests hoping to watch Happily Ever After should monitor Disney’s official entertainment schedule throughout the evening.

However, the advisory doesn’t automatically mean fireworks or other nighttime entertainment will be canceled.

Disney makes operational decisions based on actual conditions, which can change throughout the day.

Guests should also secure loose belongings, including hats, bags, and stroller accessories, especially when walking through exposed areas.

More Unsettled Weather Is Coming

Unfortunately, the windy conditions aren’t expected to disappear immediately.

The National Weather Service anticipates gusty onshore winds continuing into the middle of the week.

Wednesday and Thursday could also bring increased chances of showers across Central Florida, with isolated lightning possible.

That means visitors planning trips later this week should prepare for potential weather-related interruptions beyond Tuesday’s advisory.

The good news is that forecasters expect conditions to gradually improve heading into the weekend.

For now, Disney World guests should monitor weather updates, check the My Disney Experience app for attraction availability, and remain flexible with their plans.

A windy afternoon doesn’t have to ruin a Disney vacation, but knowing what to expect can make handling unexpected changes much easier.
