Disney World Rebukes Christmas From Florida Location

Walt Disney World Resort’s Days of Christmas store has undergone some noticeable changes recently, as construction walls have appeared around the building. The Disney Springs store, one of Central Florida’s 24/7/365 Christmas locations, has been a holiday favorite for guests who want to shop for Christmas-themed merchandise year-round.

The Days of Christmas store at Disney Springs, the largest of Disney’s permanent Christmas shops, has always been a go-to destination for guests looking for ornaments and festive decor. In addition to Disney Springs, the Germany World Showcase Pavilion at EPCOT and Liberty Square at Magic Kingdom Park house year-round holiday shops: Die Weihnachts Ecke (The Christmas Corner) and Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe. Guests can find Christmas merchandise year-round at various locations across the Disney parks and resorts, but Days of Christmas has by far the largest selection.

According to a recent report from WDWNT, construction walls now surround part of the Days of Christmas building. These light blue barriers have blocked access to the Disney cast member entrance and a set of stairs leading to the building’s second floor. Green “Disney Springs” barricades have been placed to prevent guest entry near the construction walls. This construction appears to be related to minor refurbishments, including exterior painting.

Although these changes are noticeable, there is no need to worry about missing out on Christmas shopping. According to Walt Disney World Resort’s website, the Days of Christmas store is still open to guests. However, the exterior of the building is currently under some minor renovations, and the temporary barricades have made it a bit harder for guests to fully enjoy the usual atmosphere of the store.

The larger Christmas offerings at Walt Disney World Resort remain unaffected. Every year, Disney transforms its parks, resorts, and Disney Springs into a winter wonderland with stunning decorations. Guests can usually enjoy the famous life-size gingerbread house at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, although this year’s display has been canceled due to lobby construction.

For those who are still looking for extra festive experiences, there are plenty of seasonal events to enjoy, such as Disney Jollywood Nites at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom Park. These after-hours events feature shorter attraction wait times, exclusive entertainment, rare character experiences, and plenty of festive treats.

As for Disney’s Days of Christmas, guests can still visit the store, but minor renovations are currently underway. Check the My Disney Experience app or the official Walt Disney World Resort website for the latest hours of operation.
