Disney World Confirms Limited-Time Replacements for 9 Popular Attractions

Disney World isn’t waiting until guests step off the rides to bring the holidays into the parks.

Nine attractions across Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios will temporarily give way to seasonal versions during the 2026 holiday season. That means regular music, lighting, jokes, and other familiar elements will disappear from select experiences for a limited time.

Some transformations begin as early as November 4, while others arrive closer to the start of EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays.

Here’s what guests can expect.

Hollywood Studios Starts the Changes November 4

Two of the earliest replacements happen at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets will become Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets: Obligatory Holiday Overlay from November 4 through January 6.

The seasonal version goes beyond simply playing holiday music. Festive sounds will greet guests around the guitar marquee, while The Electric Mayhem prepares for the holidays inside G-Force Records.

The ride’s seasonal songs include collaborations with Kermit the Frog, Fozzie Bear, Jennifer Hudson, and Cyndi Lauper.

Toy Story Land is changing, too.

Alien Swirling Saucers: Lilypad’s Jams will introduce four seasonal songs on November 4, including “Deck the Halls,” “Toyland,” “Swirling, Swirling, Saucers,” and “Joy to the Swirl.” That playlist remains through January 6.

EPCOT Brings Holiday Music and Lights to Two Attractions

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind joins the celebration November 25.

Instead of the attraction’s normal six-song rotation, guests will receive one of three seasonal tracks: “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24,” or “Christmas Wrapping.”

The regular soundtrack returns after the holiday overlay concludes January 6, 2027.

Living with the Land gets a transformation beginning November 27. Glimmering Greenhouses fills portions of the attraction with holiday lighting and decorations through December 30.

Magic Kingdom Changes Five Attractions

Magic Kingdom takes the concept even further with five seasonal attraction experiences.

Space Mountain receives holiday music and colorful interior lighting, while Tomorrowland Speedway becomes Tomorrowland Speedway Race with thousands of lights, decorations, and a futuristic seasonal soundtrack.

Mad Tea Party introduces four combinations of holiday lights and music. Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor also changes its normal presentation with seasonal comedy.

Then there’s Jungle Cruise.

The classic attraction becomes Jingle Cruise, bringing back holiday-themed jokes and decorations. Better yet, Jingle Cruise isn’t restricted to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and remains available during regular operating hours.

Nine Attractions, Three Parks and Plenty of Changes

Disney isn’t permanently replacing any of these nine experiences.

Instead, the company is taking familiar attractions and giving guests something they can only experience during a relatively short window.

From riding Cosmic Rewind to Trans-Siberian Orchestra to racing through a holiday version of Space Mountain, guests visiting during November and December will find some significant differences.

For anyone accustomed to experiencing the same versions year after year, that could make the 2026 holiday season an especially interesting time to return to Walt Disney World.
