Disney Raises Prices for Must-Have Theme Park Souvenir
Disney Parks fans are no strangers to October price increases, but this year, the trend has arrived a bit early, with the Disney Store quietly raising prices on one of the most iconic theme park souvenirs: Mickey and Minnie Mouse ear headbands.
A Familiar Pattern, Arriving Online

Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort have long followed a predictable rhythm of annual October price hikes affecting souvenirs, food, and beverages. This time, the Disney Store’s official online shop beat that schedule, raising prices on ear headbands in late September.

Previously priced at $36.99, most standard ear headbands on the Disney Store website have now jumped to $38.99, including nearly all classic Mickey and Minnie Mouse-themed designs. The increase isn’t limited to traditional mouse ears, either; it extends to non-mouse styles as well, including the Bluey and Bingo headbands inspired by the popular Australian children’s series, a franchise that has recently expanded into entertainment offerings at both Disneyland Park and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

While not every headband carries the exact $38.99 price tag, shoppers shouldn’t expect to find much below that threshold outside of clearance sales. Some premium designs and brand collaborations cost even more, such as the Minnie Mouse Halloween Ear Headband for Adults by BaubleBar, priced at $44.99.

Guests hoping to save can still find a handful of discounted styles while supplies last, including the Maleficent Ear Headband inspired by Sleeping Beauty (1959), available for $29.59, and the Zero Headband inspired by Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993), also priced at $29.59.

Given this early move from the Disney Store, Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort are likely to introduce similar price increases on ear headbands and other merchandise, food, and beverage items at their physical locations sometime this month. The theme parks have consistently followed the same pattern of October price adjustments in recent years, though Disney rarely announces these changes far in advance.
