Exciting New Character Meet and Greet Comes to Disney Springs

An all-new character meet-and-greet experience is coming to Disney Springs at the Walt Disney World Resort.

For 48 years, Disney Guests have enjoyed unique retail and dining experiences away from the theme park setting at what is now Disney Springs. Of course, one of the perks is that there is no admission fee to enjoy any of the entertainment at the outdoor shopping district, allowing Disney fans to get their fix without Disney Park tickets or reservations.

In fact, this applies to other elements of the Disney experience as well, such as character meet-and-greets. For example, Springs hosts a free interaction with Santa Claus at Christmas. Now, a brand new cast of characters is arriving soon to bring some sweetness into Guests’ day!

Located on Disney Spring’s West Side, the recently opened M&M Store offers Guests exclusive experiences such as “whimsical” special merchandise, custom candy designs, and hundreds of candy options to enjoy. As described on M&M’s website:

The new store is a state-of-the-art offering from Mars Wrigley. Spanning 10,000 sq. ft. of colorful fun, the store fully immerses guests in an interactive M&M’S brand experience and offers exclusive co-branded Disney and M&M’S merchandise including apparel, mugs and more.

Today, another experience premiered at the location: a photo opportunity with “loveable life-size characters,” the M&Ms mascots! That’s right, Guests of all ages can interact with the adorable candy characters, starting with Yellow.

The Yellow M&M reportedly began meeting fans this weekend at the Disney Springs store and will continue to do so Friday through Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. However, if you’re hoping to catch your favorite color during a busy day for your party, keep in mind that store employees have said the candies take a ten-minute break every half an hour.
