Disney Security Line Delays Spark Complaints from Guests Amid Rain

Recent guest complaints about long security lines at Disney Springs have sparked growing concerns over the guest experience at the popular shopping and dining destination. Visitors to the area have expressed frustration over wait times, especially during inclement weather, with some describing the security process as “ridiculously long.”

Trouble at Disney Springs

A complaint from a recent guest highlighted the discomfort of waiting in a slow-moving security line, especially on a rainy day. The weather conditions only added to the stress, making the wait less than ideal for those trying to access the area from the nearby resorts.

Security is a crucial part of Disney’s commitment to guest safety, and the line, which stretches from the resort areas to Disney Springs, has been a part of the park’s operations for years. However, the long wait times and crowding at security, combined with unpredictable weather, have led to growing dissatisfaction among visitors, especially during peak times.

While it’s unclear what caused the delay on the particular day in question, the influx of guests visiting Disney Springs as a destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment has only exacerbated the issue. With long lines becoming more frequent, some guests are calling for Disney to reconsider its security procedures to ensure quicker, more efficient access.

Did Disney Comment?

Though Disney has not made official comments on the matter, the feedback reflects a deeper concern regarding the balance between security and guest convenience. As Disney Springs continues to see higher foot traffic, it remains to be seen whether any changes will be implemented to address the growing concern over security delays.

For now, Disney visitors are advised to plan for potential delays when visiting the shopping district, particularly when weather conditions are less than favorable. Many are hopeful that Disney will take action soon to reduce wait times and improve the overall guest experience.

  1. We used to be able to park our cars and walk into Disney Springs (Downtown Disney) and never had to go through security. It has gotten so bad that I don’t even want to go anymore. The parks are even worse. I have less problems getting through security at the airport than I do at any of the parks. I have a clear plastic backpack and then on top of that they use a wand on you which just is not necessary I was at EPCOT in June and security was taking everything out of people’s bags which was causing major delays. They used to check with a stick and there were no problems. People have been willing to give up their freedoms and continue to allow more and more of them to be taken away.
