Disney Reveals Plans for New Resort Hotel

When it comes to a Disney vacation, it’s always best to stay on property. After all, staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel takes the Disney vacation and adds the cherry on top.

It comes with special privileges, extra Disney magic, and adds a quintessential aspect to a trip to Disneyland Resort.

That’s why we were so excited when Disney released concept art, showing audiences what Guests can expect from Disney’s Pixar Place Hotel.

Disneyland Resort’s Paradise Pier Hotel is currently undergoing a grand transformation as Walt Disney Imagineering turns the Resort hotel into the Pixar Place Hotel.

Paradise Pier Hotel is a high-rise hotel, standing 15 stories tall and giving Guests a fantastic view of Disney California Adventure.

If you’re interested in seeing the Paradise Pier Hotel before it’s officially turned into Pixar Place Hotel, you’re in luck because the Resort is still operating and welcoming Guests throughout Walt Disney Imagineering’s transformation.

But Guests are in for a treat because Pixar Place Hotel looks fantastic based on the concept art.

Once the lobby is finished, it will contain imagery and stunning artwork of your favorite Pixar characters.

A new water play area will also be added to the reimagined Resort hotel, themed after the Finding Nemo franchise. This play area will include a splash pad and a “186-foot-long” waterslide, complete with Crush the sea turtle seeing Guests off.

According to Disney, this water play area will be finished “later this summer.”

A play court will also be added to the Pixar Place Hotel’s deck, brimming with fun activities for the entire family, each themed after some of Pixar’s most iconic short films.
