For many, a vacation spent at Walt Disney World should be as magical as possible. An excursion visiting multiple Disney Parks and staying multiple nights at a Disney Resort hotel sounds like a dream!
But for one couple, it was more like a nightmare.
An anonymous couple recently detailed their experience while staying at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort (not to be confused the Animal Kingdom Lodge or with Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort), and it was anything but magical.

The Guest begins by saying that their room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. However, it was located in a very inconvenient spot, so they were able to hear everything from other Guests coming and going, the constant opening and closing of the door, and people yelling in the hallways.

She then explains that the family in the room beside hers reportedly housed a child who was screaming incredibly loudly, so much so that she and her boyfriend were worried as they thought something had happened to the child.
However, the adults were unphased by the child’s screaming, and didn’t do anything to remedy the situation.
She says that she and her boyfriend (who are both people of color) were reportedly met with dirty looks from other Guests. The other Guests assumed they weren’t staying there, or that they couldn’t afford a stay there.
But it wasn’t just the other Guests; on their last night, housekeeping apparently began vacuuming outside their room from 12-1 a.m.

Despite the reportedly lacking Resort experience, she expresses that the time spent in the Parks was amazing and well worth a visit. She also expresses that the Disney Parks she and her boyfriend visited were magical, writing, “I just wish the resort was the same.”
Nothing has been proven past this anonymous report, and it’s important to note that Disney works hard to ensure that each Guest feels welcome while visiting.
