The nostalgia is real with these new sweet treats coming to this Disney Park in honor of its newest expansion project, which finalizes today, inspired by some of Disney’s classic cartoons at Mickey’s Toontown.
In honor of the Disney100 and 100 Years of Wonder Celebration, Disney Parks has unveiled new dining options and delicious snack items for Guests to enjoy for a limited time. The move comes as part of a larger expansion, adding more accessible and sensory-friendly spaces, as well as green spaces, to accommodate many different kinds of Guests within a modern climate.

Moreover, with the premiere of new attractions like Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Walt Disney Imagineering set out to celebrate the historical legacy of the Disney Bros. Cartoon Studio over the last ten decades. For example, the queue for the trackless dark ride in Mickey’s Toontown at the Disneyland Resort features numerous gags, references to Walt Disney Animation history, and an exclusive exhibit honoring the career of Mickey Mouse.
Plus, as the ride is set within the El CapiTOON Theatre for a screening of the new short, the Perfect Picnic, even the concessions stand provides some hilarious allusions reimagined within the guidelines of what kinds of candy Toons might eat. In particular, the popcorn dispenser, condiments bar, and candy selection all include joke taglines, character references, or other zany relations to the town of toons.

For instance, the Power Limes sour straw candy is a version of the popular tangy sweet themed around Powerline, the hit 1990s pop star from A Goofy Movie, while McDuck’s chocolate coins reference the Ducktales comics, Disney Afternoon series, the 2017 revival, and the original character appearance in Mickey’s A Christmas Carol (1983). Finally, Golly Pops seem to be a lollipop or rock candy on a stick in the shape of some of the Fab Five’s catch phrases, such as Mickey’s “Hot Dog,” and Goofy’s “Gawrsh!”
As shared by theme park journalist Scott Gustin, all three will soon become available for purchase as real confectionary items exclusive to the new land:

While Guests can likely find the candy at new shops such as Daisy’s Cafe or Good Boy! Grocers at the Toontown farmer’s market, the toy will go up for sale at the new EngineEars Sounveirs just outside of the ride’s exit queue.
