Disney Halloween Party Cost Hits Record-Breaking High

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is back for 2025—and so are the steep up charges that have been making headlines across Disney World in recent years. While the spooky season at Magic Kingdom is always a fan favorite, this year’s price tag might be the most frightening thing of all.

Expect to Pay More—A Lot More

According to Disney, ticket prices for the 2025 Halloween party will range from $119 to $229 per guest, depending on the event date. That’s a $30 increase at the top end from last year’s pricing, which capped at $199.

No new entertainment offerings or party enhancements have been announced, making this a pure price hike with no major content updates. That said, in 2024 the event sold out across all dates, signaling that guests are still willing to pay a premium for the limited-capacity party.

This year, Disney seems ready to test the upper limits of that loyalty.

What’s Going On With Disney’s Upcharges?

Over the last few years, Walt Disney World has shifted away from the inclusive vacation model that once made it famous. Instead, the resort has gradually layered on additional costs: dining packages, early-access perks, line-skipping services, and special events now come with à la carte pricing—and it’s adding up quickly.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is just one example. Guests are feeling the pinch, especially those traveling with kids or larger groups. The price for a single family of four to attend this five-hour party on Halloween night? Nearly $1,000 before tax.

Even with early entry starting at 4 PM, that’s a tough sell for many.

Event Details: What’s Included (and What’s Not)

For guests still considering a ticket, here’s what to know:

Dates & Times

The party runs on select nights from August 15 to October 31, 2025, with Magic Kingdom closing early to regular guests on these days. The event officially starts at 7:00 PM and continues until midnight, but party ticket holders may enter the park as early as 4:00 PM.

2025 Dates

August: 15, 17, 19, 22, 24, 26, 29
September: 2, 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 19, 21, 23, 25, 26, 28, 30
October: 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 13, 14, 16, 17, 19, 23, 24, 26, 28, 30, 31

Ticket Pricing

  • Tickets start at $119 and max out at $229, plus tax

  • Annual Passholders and DVC Members receive a $10 discount on select nights in August and September

  • Tickets go on sale:

    • May 15, 2025 for Disney Resort hotel guests

    • May 22, 2025 for all other guests

Participating early-access hotels include:

  • Disney Resort hotels

  • Swan, Dolphin, Swan Reserve

  • Shades of Green

As always, tickets are limited and expected to sell out quickly for popular nights, especially weekends and Halloween itself.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party remains one of Walt Disney World’s most cherished seasonal events, but 2025’s pricing makes it increasingly clear that these experiences are no longer accessible to all. While the party still features parade exclusives, rare characters, candy trails, and themed entertainment, the cost of entry is no longer a casual expense—it’s a commitment.

If you’re planning a fall trip to Walt Disney World and hoping to attend, booking early and choosing a lower-demand night might help keep the experience magical without breaking the bank.

  1. Disney’s Halloween Party increase prices every year at Disney World and Disneyland is getting out of hand. As for our family of ten, we will no longer attend these events. With them continually increasing their prices, in a few years Disney is going to falter!
