Disney Extends Monorail Attraction Closure Through End of Month
When staying on property at Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World Resort, one of the biggest bonuses is the pool attractions offered at several resort hotels. At the Disneyland Hotel pool, families can create lasting memories by splashing around in the inviting waters and experiencing the unique Monorail slide attraction.
For many, the pool and its included activities are a huge reason to justify the high price point of an on-property Disney Resort. Unfortunately for fans visiting the hotel this month, one beloved attraction will no longer be available.
Disneyland Hotel Slides Extend Closure
For those craving a touch of adventure, the Monorail Slides at the pool area add an element of excitement for thrill-seekers of all ages. Zooming down these exhilarating slides promises a rush of adrenaline and a sense of playful exhilaration. This iconic pool attraction is something many guests look forward to experiencing every year, which is why many are so sad to hear about the extension of the closure.
The Monorail slides have been under renovation for some time, but they were supposed to reopen at the end of March. Unfortunately, as of yesterday, the Disney website is saying that the attraction will only open on April 30, 2024.
While this renovation may be frustrating for many guests, it is an important part of ensuring that Disney’s attractions and offerings are safe and enjoyable for years to come.

Water Attractions Available Elsewhere
If your family is upset by this closure, there are certainly other options to enjoy. The resort of the pool and the Steamboat Willie splash pad have remained open. In addition, there are child-friendly water-based attractions available in Toontown at Disneyland Park.
Hopefully, there will be no further delays in this attraction’s renovation process, and guests will soon enjoy these incredible Monorail slide attractions. For now, guests will have to be patient with the time and process needed to tend to these slides at Disneyland Hotel.
