Disney Cruise vaccination requirements

BIG Changes to Disney Cruiseline’s Vaccination Policy Coming Next Month:

Disney Cruiseline’s vaccination policy is changing! A policy eagerly awaited by many and dreaded by others is finally here: beginning next month, vaccination requirements will be dropped for most ships. By November, all ships will have dropped vaccination requirements.

Beginning October 14, 2022, guests aboard  Disney Wish, Disney Fantasy, Disney Dream, and Disney Wonder will be able to sail, vaccinated or not. Disney Magic joins the party on November 7, 2022, dropping all vaccination requirements.

Vaccination requirements were dropped for Guests under age 12 and under earlier this month. This new policy will apply to Guests age 12 and up.

Unvaccinated Guests will have to adhere to all policies, including COVID testing. COVID tests will not be required for fully vaccinated Guests, but unvaccinated Guests will be required to take an authorized COVID test. Per Disney’s Website, an authorized test is defined as: “Unvaccinated Guests must provide results of a COVID-19 test taken 1 to 2 days before the sail date. The test may be an observed antigen test through a proctored telehealth service with digital results. A rapid or lab-based PCR test, or Nucleic Acid Amplification Test (NAAT) are also acceptable.”

Guests who have recently recovered from the COVID-19 virus may still test positive, but this does not prevent them from sailing, provided that they meet the following requirements:

  • A copy of your professionally documented positive COVID-19 test result. The test must be taken greater than 11 days and less than 90 days from your scheduled sail date. The test must be an antigen, nucleic acid amplification test (NAAT), rapid PCR or lab-based PCR. The official test result must have been provided by a professional testing service and include your date of birth.
  • A signed letter (on official letterhead that shows the name, address and phone number of a licensed healthcare provider or public health official) stating that you have recovered from COVID-19 in the last 90 days. The letter must be dated no earlier than 5 days after the date of your professionally documented positive COVID-19 test result.
  • Vaccinated Guests must also upload proof of vaccination in addition to their 90-Day-Recovered documentation.

(Bermuda ports of call are excluded from this exception).

About Jill Bivins

Jill Bivins has been visiting Disney Parks since she was 2 years old and loves sharing her Disney adventures with the world. She likes to say Disney is in her blood and writing is in her bones — so any time she has the opportunity to combine these loves she is one happy camper! She has a deep abiding love for Epcot and as a die hard Star Wars fan has a serious love for Hollywood Studios as well. When she isn't exploring or writing about Disney Parks, Jill is homeschooling her 7 year old son or pretending to be a farmer on her family homestead (despite being unable to keep even a cactus alive).
