Disney Brings Rapunzel’s World to Life With New Ride Coming 2026

There’s something wonderfully timeless about Tangled (2010). Fans still talk about Rapunzel’s lantern moment, sing along to “I See the Light,” and quote Flynn Rider’s sarcasm like the movie came out yesterday. Over the years, the film has carved out a special place in the Disney fan community, and many have wondered when Rapunzel would finally get an attraction that truly captures her spirit. That wait is almost over.

Disney officially announced that a brand-new Tangled ride—Raiponce Tangled Spin—is opening in 2026, bringing Rapunzel’s world to life in a way fans have been dreaming about for more than a decade.

A Whimsical New Ride for All Ages

Raiponce Tangled Spin gives guests the chance to step into the film’s most iconic moment: the lantern-lit evening on the water. Instead of boats, riders will board gondola-style vehicles that swirl through a glowing landscape filled with floating lanterns. It’s designed to be a gentle family attraction, but Disney is leaning heavily into the dreamlike atmosphere—soft lighting, warm colors, and a familiar musical backdrop that fans will immediately recognize.

One of the biggest surprises is the return of Mandy Moore, who recorded new voiceover for the attraction. Hearing the original voice of Rapunzel guiding guests through the experience adds an authenticity fans will love.

What Guests Can Expect

Disney revealed several features that will define the attraction:

  • A glowing canopy of floating lanterns

  • Gondolas that twist and glide under the illuminated sky

  • A musical ride experience built around “I See the Light”

  • New audio recorded exclusively for the attraction by Mandy Moore

The ride aims to deliver the emotional punch of the film without relying on thrills. It’s all about atmosphere, storytelling, and letting fans soak in the moment.

A Big Win for Tangled Fans

For a long time, Tangled lovers have only had smaller nods in the parks—bathroom theming, character meet-and-greets, or lantern photo ops. Attractions themed to more recent films have come and gone, but Rapunzel’s full story hadn’t been given a major ride outside of Tokyo. Now, Disney is finally giving this fan-favorite its moment.

It also helps that this new experience is part of a massive resort-wide transformation, one that includes new lands, new restaurants, and a major Frozen expansion. Disney is clearly investing in a new era of immersive storytelling, and Tangled fans are finally getting the spotlight they’ve been asking for.

With lanterns rising once again and Rapunzel leading the way, 2026 is shaping up to be a magical year.
