Disney has just revealed the look of a brand-new Tangled-themed attraction under construction at Disney Parks, and the new Disney experience is going to be gorgeous!

Talk of a ‘Tangled’-Themed Attraction For Years
In 2022, Disney Parks fans heard the first mentions of an exciting new attraction inspired by Walt Disney Animation’s 50th feature-length animated film, Tangled, which debuted in 2010 and is based on a fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm about a girl named Rapunzel. In the Disney adaptation of the fairy tale, the young girl possesses a rather unconventional gift (and she also becomes a Disney Princess):

A Wildly Successful Film For Walt Disney Animation Studios
The Disney film was a major success. Against a budget of $260 million, Tangled has grossed more than $592 million since its debut in 2010. For context and comparison, Disney’s Princess and the Frog has grossed $271 million, and Disney’s Moana has grossed $645 million.

The success of Disney’s Tangled is undeniable, and Disney Parks has taken the story of Rapunzel and Flynn Rider and used it as the inspiration for a brand-new attraction that is being constructed as part of a massive expansion at the Disneyland Paris Resort that will ultimately double the size of the park formerly known as Walt Disney Studios Park.
A Day of Huge Announcements For Disney’s Parks Division
On Friday, Disney Parks announced a new name for Walt Disney Studios Park, the second theme park at the Parisian Disney Resort:
Walt Disney Studios Park will be renamed Disney Adventure World when World of Frozen, a new immersive area dedicated to the wintery world of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Frozen, comes to life, bordering a majestic bay. While the ongoing transformation of the park is sure to take the guest experience to a whole new level, the entire resort will continue to elevate its offerings in the coming years.
On April 12, Disneyland Paris lifted the curtain on an ambitious future for the place where dreams come true, during an immersive presentation delivered in front of an audience of nearly 1,000 fans and Cast Members. The resort’s executive and creative teams took the stage to share information about groundbreaking entertainment that will debut in the coming months, the next phase of the ongoing transformation of Disney Hotels, and ongoing reimagining of Disney Village.

The Walt Disney Company further revealed that guests will be immersed into a brand-new story the moment they step foot into Disney Adventure World, which includes a “contemporary, open-air movie studio” where guests will become part of a “glamorous film premiere in the heart of Hollywood on a starry night.”
Adventure Way at Disney’s Adventure World
Guests will walk along Adventure Way in order to gain access to the park’s immersive worlds.
Once completed, Adventure Way will be an expansive promenade surrounded by themed gardens and lush green landscapes. Within this beautiful and enchanting area, guests will discover Raiponce Tangled Spin, a family-friendly attraction that offers an exciting new take on a classic ride experience, and it’s all inspired by Walt Disney Animation’s 2010 animated film.

Raiponce Tangled Spin Attraction
According to The Walt Disney Company’s release on Friday, the new ride will invite guests to “take a spin” as they are immersed in the iconic lantern festival scene from Disney’s Tangled.

When talk of a new Tangled-themed attraction at Disneyland Paris first surfaced in 2022, OutsideEars.com included blueprints of the attraction in a post online. On Friday, however, Disney unveiled a piece of concept artwork that depicts the new attraction in all of its Tangled glory.

Based on the concept art above, Disney’s new Raiponce Tangled Spin attraction looks like it will function similarly to Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree at Disney California Adventure at Disneyland Resort in California and the Alien Swirling Saucers attraction inside Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
