When it comes to visiting Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, the theme parks have radically different visitor mixes. Walt Disney World is a destination vacation for people around the world. And while Disneyland also gets a lot of international visitors, it is much smaller than Disney World and is known as a “locals” Park. That means that a majority of the people who visit The Happiest Place on Earth are within driving distance and visit more frequently.
Unfortunately, there are more people who want to be Magic Key Holders — also known as Annual Passholders — than there are Magic Keys available. Magic Keys became available last August after the original Annual Pass program ended, but sales were paused after just a few months. Then, last month, Magic Keys went on sale again, but only for two days and there were a lot of people who wanted to purchase a Magic Key, but the Keys were gone before they had a chance.
If you live in Southern California and were unable to purchase a Magic Key, we have good news for you! Disneyland is once again offering the Southern California Resident 3-Day Ticket. This ticket will allow residents of Southern California to visit Disneyland for as little as $73 per day! That is a savings of nearly $100 per day!
Here’s more information on the ticket:
For just $73 per day, Southern California residents can rediscover the magic of the Disneyland Resort with a special 3-day, 1-park per day ticket with admission for weekdays. Visit 3 times from January 9 through May 25, 2023, subject to theme park reservation availability. This ticket is not valid for admission on Saturdays or Sundays.
This offer is only valid for Southern California residents within ZIP codes 90000-93599 and Northern Baja California residents within ZIP codes 21000-22999. Each Guest, 18 years of age and older, using a Southern California Resident ticket must show proof of eligible residency for purchase and admission. A valid government-issued photo ID showing an address within a valid zip code is required for entry into the park.
Tickets expire May 25, 2023, and are not valid before January 9, 2023. Tickets may be used on nonconsecutive days. Tickets are valid on weekdays only and subject to blockout dates of every Saturday and Sunday.*
At this time, theme park reservations are still needed to visit both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. So, if you purchase the SoCal Resident ticket, make sure to make your theme park reservations as well. There are rumors that the reservation system will end soon, but nothing has been confirmed by Disney.
