Big Changes Coming in 2027

BREAKING: The final day for DINOSAUR, The Dino Institute Shop, Restaurantosaurus, and Restaurantosaurus Lounge will be February 1, 2026. These closures mark the end of an era for DinoLand U.S.A. and clear the way for the park’s next chapter.

The Tropical Americas expansion promises attractions themed around Disney’s Encanto and the Indiana Jones franchise, offering a mix of immersive rides, interactive experiences, and themed dining. Guests can expect a vibrant, storytelling-rich environment that transforms this corner of the park.

DINOSAUR has thrilled visitors for over two decades with its time-traveling journey through prehistoric landscapes. Alongside it, the Dino Institute Shop and the popular dining locations, Restaurantosaurus and Restaurantosaurus Lounge, will shutter, allowing Disney to fully develop the new land.

While Disney has not revealed all details about the upcoming Tropical Americas attractions, early concept art and park announcements hint at a blend of high-energy thrill rides, family-friendly adventures, and visually immersive environments that honor both the company’s storytelling heritage and classic adventure films.
